A Chip in the Hand

The hand does contain an indenti-chip, according to the man who can adjust this chip to match me. However, the identi-chip becomes inactive if the person to whom it is attached dies or is separated from the chip, as is most definitely the case with this hand I...found. This raises the cost of having the identi-chip matched to me from merely unreasonable to astronomical.

I am unsure what to do about this.
