(no subject)
My dad found out that I ran a server for UT from Mary Ann's computer last night and went ballistic. So I was dealing with like three things at once and then he was yelling at me about something that was so entirely stupid that I felt dumber just for argueing about it. The conversation enlightened me a little, though, to the fact that I could get out our old router and plug up a third computer to the internet. So that is what I did. I'm writing this on the "server" computer (which anyone who attends a LAN party will probably recognize as the old 400 Mhz piece of junk computer that I lug around and that stores backup copies of my MP3 and Video collections).
I've got the router completely set up right now and I'm zipping up the maps and textures to be put onto the computer and then I will UMOD it with a few mods and run it and see if anyone can internet connect to it. I have a feeling it might not work--- like Allen's--- but, if it does, hurrah! =)
This will also give me another place to write stories and then upload them. Muahaha.
