sew....
Okay, so a month ago i saw this super cute black lacy skirt at the store. It was 40 bucks, and I was like, pssshhh i can make that! so i went to joanne's and bought a pattern, and fabric, and lace, and a zipper, and a hook and eye... well the total came to be 35.00. So i should have just bought the damn skirt. But at this point i was determined to make it. Well i opened up the pattern and realized i have no clue how to follow it. so it has just been sitting there, collecting dust.
so then in philly there was this really cute pink tulle tutu. It was also pretty pricey and again i thought, well shoot, i could make that. So rather than buy a pattern i did some internet research and found an online tutorial! yay! looked easy enough. So today i bought all the shit, the total was about 19 bucks. So not too bad. But yeah, i think i have to accept the fact that i cannot sew. nor do i like to. i really want to like it, but i hate measuring. i hate cutting. i get super frustrated. sooooo now i've got 8 yards of tulle, a spool of pink ribbon, and pink thread that cost 6 bucks in a pile on my floor.
but i will finish it! just not today. i can't get the stupid fabric to ruffle nicely and i seem to have broken my sewing machine. :(
