Of Heroes Fic and Fandom
I didn't start watching Heroes until the summer break between seasons 3 and 4. I watched seasons 1-3 on Netflix in the month of June 2009. In so many ways I feel very sad that I missed out on being a part of the fandom when the show was really on top. But it will forever be my favorite show no matter what. And I'm very happy to have been able to be around during the 4th and final season and for the friendships I've made as a result of this.
One thing that came from coming into the fandom rather late is that I'm still discovering old fics that people wrote in *gasp* 2007! One reason for this is that the pairings that I'm most interested in are rather rare. So it takes a lot of digging to find them. For instance, who would have ever thought anyone would actually have written anything with the pairing of Claude and Eden?! I mean, besides the obvious answers of course. XD Yes, there are actually a few fics with Claude/Eden (though it's not the main pairing, it's hinted at strongly) and this made my RPer heart very happy. But seriously, who would've thought? These characters never met in canon.
I've actually read a few very good Peter/Eden fics and I even started writing one about a year ago. I've been thinking about finishing it but I'm not sure anyone would even read it, so please let me know guys! I find it an interesting pairing. Especially since I've met so many fans who didn't even remember that Peter and Eden met. Yes, they did! At Mohinder's apartment the night Peter came looking for his father because of his book, Activating Evolution. :P
Of course, I will read anything in which Noah Bennet is one of the main characters. But there is a surprising lack of fic written about him compared to others and especially in more mature ratings. Ahem. Which is why I must write it!
