New Nightmare
So I just found out that Jackie Earle Haley (as in the guy who played Rorschach in the Watchmen movie) is going to be the new Freddie Kreuger in the "Nightmare on Elm Street" remake. I'm oddly conflicted in this judgement call. It's not that I'm skeptical of his ability to portray the character, but more so a feeling of alienation. I grew up watching Robert Englund playing my favorite dream slasher all my life. Can I stand to watch someone else take up the mantle and attempt to portray the reboot of this franchise? I honestly don't know. For once when it comes to this series, I'm sad at the prospect that it may get so utterly butchered that noboy wants anything to do with it ever again. Pun intended.
