aMy name is Sarah H. I am not a member, but my whole family Shirley, Les, Scott and Todd H are all members. I reside in a nursing home as of over 2 years Now. I am recovering from complications of a disease I've had since birth. Next week, I am moving to an adult family home, where hopefuly, I'll have more freedom. But my income will stil be limited to 67 dollars per month.
I live in Washington state and I am on medicaid, which has cut eyeglasses fro/m its benefits. Graciousl, my mom took me in January to the new costco in East V ancouver to get an eye exam and replace My 4 year old glasses, also from Costco, which wer a mess of scratches because the reflective coating was coming off. I didn't like the coating, most of all, because I has a hard time keeping my glassses clean, but the salesperson convinced me, tellng me the coating was better now and I would have great scratch protection. So, I spent extra money I didn't have to buy the coating. And it didn't help!
I haven't always had total control over my glasses or their cleaning (my cleaner has been lost, so I use water and the felt cloth I was given), but I trusted the coating to work. There was a breakdown in the coating (which I never want again) and scratches. Its only been 9 months! I went in the store yesterday, but they told me there was Nothing I could do.
I don't have the means to buy new lenses. I was told this coating would help them last, but it is already breaking down and I'm having a hard time seeing. I am not happy. . Next time, I will get my glasses elsewhere. I have a blog, where my discontent with this incident will be shared.
What do you think?
