So I am going crazy. I hadn't heard abut the job. I was about to go down in despair again, and then I got this:
Hi Sarah - I got your voicemail. Sorry to not get back to you sooner, but
I ended up sick Friday and didn't talk to my new boss until yesterday. He
was receptive to having you work for us, but wants to bounce it off Rolando
when he gets back from vacation, which would he will be back on Thursday.
Your hire could be counted under what is called a Multiculural Workforce
Strategic Initiative, which I have a "reply due" I have to respond to,
letting our national office know how many we plan to hire this fiscal year,
and that due date is the 30th. I won't see Rolando myself this week, but
will send Bov an email asking him to let me know how the talk goes when he
has it, and that my reply due is the 30th because even though these are
typically students we are hiring, yours could count for us. Bov wanted to
see if Rolando might have other work for you to do when I run out, or
during gaps in my work for you, so that means this could go on for a longer
period of time than what I need (a good thing!!) initially. I will let you
know as soon as I know something more.
And the ended the email with this statement:
