Happy Father's Day!
My dad....
.. is sweet and generous. You will never escape my house without at least a Sambuca shot or a cookie!
.. feeds us roasted chestnuts in the winter time.
.. is an amazing gardener. If you look through my photo albums, half the time there is lush lush greenery behind him. He made that!
.. can make Frankenstein trees! Take a walk around the garden behind our house and you'll find trees with 2 or 3 different fruits grafted to it. Yup, he made that too!
.. feeds us figs in the spring time.
.. can drive a forklift like a mean motherfucker!
.. may be all sweetness but pit him against a haggling car sale man and he can hold his own ground!
.. stuffs our faces with cherries in the summer time.
.. has the loveliest, welcoming smile.
.. always goes out of his way to help his siblings or his neighbours, driving them to places when they are unable to, or giving them seedlings or splitting a case of olive oil that was on sale at Galati.
I hope that my sisters and I can give him even a fraction of the support that he has given us over the years.

Edit: About 10 mins after I posted this, he yelled at me to turn off the light in my bedroom and close the window coz the air conditioning was running! heheeeeeeeee
