Looks like I'll be staying in today.

I took some photos, albeit crappy ones, because in lieu of having live batteries for my digital camera, I had to use my cellphone. They are available on my Facebook.

I'm not one of those who calls off from work for a little snow or something. If I can possibly go, I go. I'm new at this store, though, so they haven't had a chance to know this yet. They don't know about how I braved the Capital Beltway after a snowstorm when it hadn't even been touched by a snowplow yet, and my max speed was 25, before tackling Branch Avenue, which, that day, was truly living up to its name, littered with fallen trees and branches.

I could feel the bit of irritation or disappointment in her voice when she said, "I guess we'll see you tomorrow then." I can relate, though. It's frustrating when you're running a place and lots of people can't make it in. Especially when it's a place like Big Blue Sinisterly Sunshiny Smiley-Face Land. I've lived it. Often.

Sorry. Ice. Both ways to go to get out are uphill first. Sucks, but no can do today. This is a rare occurrence with ME; you may never see it again. lol

ice storms, work, pictures
