Luau.

So, annual luau in Baltimore was Saturday, and I meant to take my camera, but alas, I forgot. So, no damned pictures.

I should write a fuller post at some point in the future, but a quick breakdown of interesting and/or good events will suffice for now.

- Am dropped off at the front of the house by baltpup25, because I have to pee like a racehorse.
- First person I see, walking in the door? My ex. He looks up, sees me, and looks away. Okay, well, then, that tone is set.
- Am then greeted by tazwolf, and get lei'd.
- Directly after is gethenix, whose reaction is, "Oh my God, how much weight did you LOSE?" Hee hee. (The current answer is 85 pounds, FTR.)
- Bathroom.
- Find kutariprime, apologise for visiting the bathroom before him. :)
- andrewshead attempted to see if he could push my boundaries, and ultimately, actually, failed. Just because I declined the brown did not mean I was disturbed. :)

Also got to see a great bunch of other people I may not know very well, but do enjoy seeing. There was a gripefest about the absence of vbseth and d2leddy. There was a situation with my ex that must've been pretty awkward, although not so much for me, personally. For him, there were two exes at the party, plus his current, and his other ex's current, and evidently, also his other ex's current FLING. And then there was the conversation on the back porch between my ex, his ex's current, and his current, regarding the other ex and the current fling, and then the fact that the latter two ended up in the garage for a significant amount of time - ALONE - while the current searched pretty much everywhere BUT the garage for them.

I felt bad for that guy. In fact, while sitting there on the back porch, drunk on lots of Yuengling and Sam Adams, observing their conversation, the other ex's current says something like, "I dunno, I just keep hoping he'll smarten up..." This is when I interjected simply with, "Sometimes it's you who needs to smarten up...."

Not meant in any way offensively, and I think it even came out sounding on the apologetic side. His reaction to it did not seem offended, however. And truthfully, maybe I did butt in... but I was objectively honest with it. While I may not have been impressed with the other ex last year, and I certainly can't say that I am NOW, it had little to do with him, what I said.

Matters of the heart can suck.

But in viewing what this situation with my ex seems to be now, it looks like where some people have love triangles, he's got a love clusterfuck going on, and that being the case, I'm glad I got let off that ride when I did....

However, being back in Maryland, I found myself a little sad on Sunday morning, while hanging out at baltpup25's parents' house. I think I just realised how much I miss the place. Oh, Andrew, you really need to meet his family, they're so cute and funny! Hee hee.

But now I'm back in Pittsburgh, and I'm a little bored... and finding myself thinking a lot about Maryland. I never said when I was leaving that I'd never look back, but I never realised I'd look back so sadly.

ex, baltimore, maryland, friends, luau
