A meme and some lols.

Modifying a meme:

Give me a pairing (or platonic relationship, if you like), and I'll upload you a song that reminds me of them.

Any fandom I know, or original--have at it.

In other news: the continuing adventures of my mom and technology.

She has this adapter in her car, which connects to her iPod and tunes it to a radio station, so she can hear it through her speakers. It also comes with a cord to the cigarette lighter so the iPod can be charged while in use. Today we went to breakfast, and I used it to plug in my iPod. On the way home, I was in the back seat, so I unplugged it for easier handling, since the cord wasn't long enough to reach to the back seat.

My mom immediately went, "Wait, that's still working without being plugged in?"

"Um, it works through your radio, Mom...the cord is just to charge it," I informed her.

And she replied, "Oh, I thought the radio waves went through the cord!"

After an extended facepalm, I asked her, "How the hell did you think your car radio worked? Do you have an extra-long extension cord trailing out of the back of your car?"

She, Sharon, and I all had a good laugh.

Cut to later today. My mom also recently got a new phone, a smartphone (Samsung Conquer, if you're curious) and she's been figuring it out. And by "figuring it out" I of course mean "asking me every five minutes how to do something." (Though she did just read the manual for it. That was a bit hilarious.)

Anyway, something happened, don't ask me what, and a message popped up, "SD card damaged." I told her to hand it to me, but she kept futzing with it. A moment later I heard, "Hey, where did all my files go?"

Cue my: "...what did you do." (Despite already having a good idea.)

"It asked me something about format--"

"Yep, they're gone."

Because she had, of course, reformatted the SD card.

We later relayed both these incidents to my brother, because he called (they were trying out video calls) and he went, "You know, I don't think you're eligible to own a smartphone. I think Sara needs to confiscate that from you now."

Oh, Mom.

I really ought to make this a series.
