Star Wars rambling, take three.
And we've seen the last two. We would've been done sooner, if the Blockbuster disc for the second movie hadn't been broken when we got it the first time. We had to wait for them to send us a replacement.
So some thoughts on The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, slightly jumbled together:
1. When Leia kissed Luke, we had to go, "BROTHER! THAT IS YOUR BROTHER!"
2. "I love you." -- "I know." We were very amused by that exchange. Both times. Han Solo and Leia are awesome.
3. Yoda's crazy persona when he first met Luke freaked us out a bit. "Why did Yoda turn into a muppet?"
4. Speaking of Yoda, how sad that he died. He's so awesome!
5. We pretended to be surprised by the I-am-your-father! revelation, for authenticity's sake.
6. "Yadda yadda, come to the good side, yadda too late for me, no it's not, yadda yadda yadda, take him away." -- Sylvia, using her excellent powers of summation
7. We kind of want an Ewok.
8. The second Lando was all, "Not a scratch!" re: the Millenium Falcon, we both went, "Well, that ship is gone." And then it survived! We were impressed.
9. "Shut up, Palpatine. Nobody likes you."
10. "Luke! Look at the non-prettiness of your father! Do you really want to become that? Come on!"
11. Han Solo remains awesomely badass.
That was fun! We enjoyed them all immensely. I think my favorite was probably Return of the Jedi. Of the prequels, probably also the last one, Revenge of the Sith. So. I guess now we're onto Star Trek! =P
