NaBloPoMo, day sixteen: The Middleman.

I'm going to recommend The Middleman today, which sadly only ran for a season on ABC Family (in major part due to the fact that it was way, way too smart for that channel) about this young woman, Wendy Watson, who, in the process of trying to find a temp job, ends up working for The Middleman, who is the one who keeps the things found in comic books continue to seem like things that are just found in comic books.

I'm not a huge fan of comic-book style genres or Sci Fi in general, but this show hooked me from the beginning. The writing was quick, witty, and effortless, and the acting superb. Sadly, it was Too Good To Last, and predictably it was canceled after only one season. The story was finished in a graphic novel, which I have not read yet, but which I have heard good things about.

Definitely give it a chance if any of this sounds appealing, or even if it's not your usual thing. You might be pleasantly surprised.
