Gahh, tired. Had the Gap at 6 this morning. I kinda slacked off and left at 11.30 even though I definitely could have stayed later. Oops.
Hello Secret Pal! I already picked up some stuff for my giftee, and have heard from my gifter. I've already seen a couple bloggers using banners that I made, so that's always a nice feeling.
Speaking of knitting, I've been doing some catching up since MDS&W. I'm almost done with the cotton baby vest for baby George. I just sewed up the sides- it was my first time really attempting to seam something correctly and it came out better than I thought (I think...maybe it's really bad and I just don't know it) so I'm kinda of glowing inside right now. I still have to pick up stiches for the ribbing on the neck and arms. I hope I can get pictures. I also completed an iPod sock in Lorna's Laces sock yarn and it's pretty cute, the stripes came out neat. It was my first time doing a three-needle bind off and I fucked up the end of it but I managed to salvage it and I like it a lot. Finally, I just started the Jaywalker socks from Magknits with my Koigu which really is as amazing as everyone says it is.
I need to do some SERIOUS work before this stupidgoddammedmotherfucking wedding of my brother's. Every time I say that it gets worse! I got my bridesmaid's dress, it's actually very pretty and it fits. Here's a picture:
http://img2.imagepile.net/img2/951088755.png Bought some books this weekend. Absurdistan, and My Life in France, about Julia Child. I'm reading the first one now and it's not something I would usually want to read but I like it. Its weird, I never like to read "funny" books. This one is more ironic than laugh out loud hilarious. It makes me smile.
Good movie weekend coming up! Ever since reading The Da Vinci Code, I've been psyched for the movie, despite Tom Hanks' sad little balding halff-mullet. Also, Over the Hedge comes out and I'll be seeing that- my dad and I always see that stuff together.
Good Night Moon. I am POOPED.
