I knew it was going to be heartbreaking, 'cause it had both Puck's grief and her parents, which is why I put an extra warning at the top, lol.

I've so done that with stories, when I know they're going to be really sad and I'm not sure I want to read all the suffering. I really can't help but be glad you read it anyway though, haha.

I really liked writing the connection between him and her dads, 'cause I think as soon as they got past the delinquent thing and they saw that he was just a messed up kid who'd made mistakes but loved their daughter, they'd really welcome him into the fold. And they do love him, but they have to think about their own grief too and being in Lima would just be devastating for them. It was nice to write the breakdown where he actually let somebody hold him this time, but also to recognize that it would be fleeting, because they wouldn't always be there and while a phone call might seen nice, it's just not the same.

haha, thank you. I'll take it all! ^_^

I still can't believe I thought I could make this into a oneshot, lol. There's quite a bit still left to go. I'm fiddling with the next chapter which is mostly, if not all, in Finn's POV. And I'm writing like three Puckleberry novels at the same time, too. I've got this drabble-prompt-fic I started awhile back where Rachel falls into a five-year coma and Puck's the only one who stays behind to wait for her to wake up, putting his life on hold. That's like 30,000 words at the moment. And then Iron Bars, and I'm like half-done Rachel's chapter, but I got sidetracked by the Coma story, lol. It took me forever to decide which novel I'd write for Puckleberry, 'cause I have a book full of ideas, and I told myself I'd only do one a time, and then there were three... ^_^
