Rant - Home Depot - #NotCool

Dear Home Depot,
You suck. I waited in the bath section for a half hour and this supposed John character you sent to help me never came. Thank you for contributing to my abandonment issues.
Insincerely,

Not cool, Home Depot! I prefer Lowe's. Not that long ago, there was an ad on craigslist for Home Depot (not sure if it was legit or not) and they wanted greeters or something, and they actually asked for people to send in pictures. I'm like, ew. What are you going to do with them?

lol! Yeah, there were absolutely no greeters when I went! As we were walking out, I told my friend - "At Rona, they tell you to have a nice day... They help you when you ask... They greet you when you arrive... Hell, they'll show you the vending machines even if you're not buying anything!" It was ridiculous!
Friend replies: Yeah, that's why I stopped coming here; last time I asked for a manager and they had four on the floor but nobody came... If someone could just tell me how much that discount tub was...
Me: They can stuff their discount tub! Let's go to Rona!
And thus we did. haha

That is so ridiculous! Why are so many stores biting the hand that feeds them? Good customer service goes a long way.

Y'know, my dad and I were just saying the same thing! Businesses rely on their customer service; it's what brings them back each time. I don't know if it's because they're hiring them so young or if people had just stopped caring, but it's ridiculous just how much customer service has gone down... And it's everywhere!

As with every store that I actually require assistance I wander until I find someone who works there and drag them to whatever department I need help in. I'm not nice when it comes to waiting. Although I have to say half the battle is online research before arriving.

We tried that, but everyone we found basically said "That's not my department, so I can't help you..." and then continued on with their work. Pfft. Apparently, the only person who knew anything about baths was this supposed "John" guy that they called for twice and who never showed up!
When shopping for myself, especially to do with CD's or DVD's or anything of that nature, I definitely look it up first to make sure it's in stock before I hit up the store. Patience is definitely a virtue I was not equipped with... I must've gotten tired of waiting in line while they were handing it out, haha.
