Smallville - Season 10 Premiere - #GASP

Okay, so I went into Smallville's season 10 premiere, with very little hope for any Chlollie lovin'... and both was and wasn't disappointed. They didn't have any actual air-time together, I know - that's the disappointing part - however, I feel like their love transcended that.

Things needing to be pointed out...

I really agree with a lot of your review!

They bump right into each other and all I can think is-- "Realize! Damn it, Oliver! She's right there! She's so close!"
Same here! I loved that they had them bump but at the same time, I was like "Oh no! Save her!"

I really liked Lois in this episode. When her voice breaks at seeing Clark down, I really felt for her... When she gets snarky, I love her more. And when she fake drops a pencil to give him a chance to do what he has to do, I'm just smiling.
AGREE SO HARD! That's what I was thinking in this episode. I thought Erica was great and I was feeling what Lois was feeling.

I think the whole 'darkness' thing is bullshit. That fortress has never been useful IMO and it's still not. If you ask me, it's corrupted and they should fix it. He was harsh with Tess last year and I wasn't impressed at how he used his strength against her, but for the most part, he had control. I think the Fortress scene was one of the few that *really* irritated me.

As for fake!Lex, at least they didn't try to pass it off as the real thing. Though the actor seemed to be trying too hard. He's definitely no MR.

I was inwardly screaming, "NO! NO!" when they passed each other... 'Cause I knew, there was no way it *wasn't* her... Talk about heartbreak though. All I could think as he sat in that truck was, "A. He's going to realize what she did and see her there, or B. He's going to go home, look for her, and realize she's gone..." OH MAN, I hope she leaves him something *explaining* what she did and why... *bites nails nervously*

Erica was *awesome*! I remembered thinking that, which is funny because I used to just watch Chloe or Chlollie scenes 'cause I never much cared for Chlark. But I love how quirky Lois can be, she's freakin' adorkable sometimes! :)

Total bullshit. It was short-lived, too. I loved Jonathon's appearance, I actually almost cried I was so happy for him to bring back the wisdom, but I felt like it was all so rushed. "You're dark." "What? No. I'm not." "Yes. You are. Even dad thinks so." "Oh, no!" "Wait, I'm your human dad and I don't think you are." "Oh, okay, I agree then. All is good." Uh... ookay??

When I first saw Lex in the death-dream, I was like "If that's not Michael Rosenbaum Imma be *pissed*..." lol I didn't want them to try and pass off some other actor and for us to just accept it. The twist was interesting but so forced it felt wrong. And you're right, he tried way too hard. Michael = Lex. Noone else compares.

My biggest problem is that it just came out of nowhere! I mean, yes, last season he had his moments of anger (especially when he was dealing with Tess) but he always controlled himself. He's the one who's full of light, which is how he was able to believe in the Kandorians. This whole "you're full of darkness" thing is just BS.

I've long ago decided the Fortress is useless and I'm glad that we saw the real Jor-El in "Kandor", so we could all see for sure that Clark's biological father was good, even if the fortress he created is corrupted.
