Thanks! I know! :( I felt so bad for Bobby! Although it did give me an awesome opening for Chloe/Dean...

I remember watching this episode and thinking, "Man, this season is depressing."

And it was. This chapter really re-captured that emotion. It wasn't just the same dialogue, but now Dean has a better idea of just how painful this episode was for Bobby, and it opens up the coming chapters very nicely.

All in all, excellent chapter, and am looking forward to the next.

Ugh, I struggled with watching this season. It really is depressing, but the show is so addictive!
I felt awful for Bobby, but you're right, with his own love-of-his-life, Dean found some ingiht and it's definitely going to be showing!
Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it so far!

This was amazing! You did a great job at incorporating what happened in the episode with what was going on in your story.

Thanks! I was really worried about that. I didn't want it to feel like I'd just tossed Chloe in or that I'd just written the whole episode out and basically plagiarised the whole thing, so I'm happy it had its own feel to it.

I love this paragraph: "He'd seen, been through, a lot in his lifetime. Dead dad, dead mom, dead and then resurrected brother, he'd battled everything from A to Z and after being raised from hell was now in a war against Lucifer, of all things. He'd known hope and defeat, felt the weight of the world on his shoulders and the truth behind the coming end. But to stand there and see a man he'd always looked up to, holding the hand of the woman he'd had to kill not once but twice, Dean thought there was a whole other level of despair he didn't know yet. And he thought he might just, if destiny had its way with him and the woman sitting in his Impala right then. Hell. All the pain he'd already been through and he was pretty sure she was going to top it all."
When watch that episode I thought it was especially heartbreaking that Bobby had to kill the love of his life twice. I love that Dean was able to pick up on those emotions and feel for him. Another great chapter! Can't wait for the next one.

Me too! I feel like it really captured Dean, in all of his past-hurt and future-hurt!
Poor Bobby, he really had a rough go of it. But it did definitely help Dean out with a few things, even if it was less than happy insight.
Glad you're liking it!
