Zigeunerleben (Gypsy Life) by Robert Schumann (1810 - 1856). I performed this my first year of college choir *mumblemumble* years ago. I don't remember it as well as I'd like (and the German is pretty much out the window). I don't know what brought it to mind but here it is.
