Well, a lot has happened in the past few days. A friend of mine decide to end her life at the end of a gun barrel, and last night was her funeral. This is the second funeral of a friend in three years. That's two too many.
Anyway, it was a horrible funeral. It turned into a damn sermon, and my friend was only mentioned for about five minutes. It's not that I mind sermons and talk of God; I'm a somewhat religious person myself, but a funeral is supposed to be in remembrance of a PERSON, not just another excuse to preach.
I'm sorry I'm ranting, but that just really pissed me off.
It was touching, though, to see how many people showed up. It was both heartwarming and heartwrenching to turn around in the pew and see those 300+ people there. It was a bittersweet moment.
