UCD: Alright! Which one?
Richard: Communication, please.
UCD: Hmm. You'll have to complete the lower division coursework before you can do that, Richard.

Richard: Phew! Do NOT like stats! Anyway, I'm done. I'd like to declare now.
UCD: Umm, you haven't completed Communication 1 or 3 yet, which are required for the major.
Richard: Well, those classes are always full. I figured once I had the rest done, you might let me declare.
UCD: Not this quarter. Why don't you try again next quarter?
Richard: Well I've been trying for three quarters now, actually. It's really hard to get in.
UCD: Well next quarter should be okay then.
Richard: ...
UCD: What is it?
Richard: Well...it seems like if you maybe increased the size or number of the classes, this would be easier on everyone.
UCD: We can't do that. Maybe you should take some other classes in the mean time.
Richard: Why can't y- never mind. Well, I'd love to take the upper division communication classes, those sound interesting.
UCD: You need to be a CMN major to be in those classes, Richard! You're so silly.
Richard: But I can't take the lower division classes because they're always full.
UCD: That's sad.
Richard: So...what you're suggesting is that I take...wait no, I'm confused. Help me out here.
UCD: You can't take the interesting ones because you're not a CMN major.

UCD: You should take the lowe-

[UCD is about to respond when a red light begins flashing in the background]
UCD: Oh dear, it appears you're not taking enough units to have minimum progress, Richard. If that doesn't change, we might have to expell you from the university.
Richard: But I can't get into any of the classes for my major. Which I'm not in. Because the classes are full.
UCD: You need to have some units Richard...maybe take some other classes?
Richard: So if I follow you correctly...You want me to take classes that are totally useless to me, my interests and my future career? Because all the classes I want to get into are full. Or are illegal for me to be in because I'm not declared as a major in the right area. And correct me if I'm wrong, but this is all because you're motherfucking classes are too motherfucking small to accomodate everyone who wants to be a motherfucking communication major?
