anyone read the red badge of courage and april morning? i have to write a comparitive essay on the two protagonists/plots and i hated these books so much and just breezed through them. i don't even know here to begin. help!!!

i read the "red badge of courage". i could help you a little bit, if you want. i had to write a thesis on it and i based mine on the use of personification and imagery (in nature, in religion, in colors used). if you can tell me what april morning is about (like, the basics), i could list some ideas for you. but yeah, the personfication/imagery usage is a basis for one point (if it's used in april morning as well), and the theme of the red badge of courage (the protagonist tries to run away from battle and is cowardly; it's a pretty somber novel).

Blargh, wasn't the Red Badge of Courage awful? I was reading it for History extra credit...I couldn't even finish it.
