Yeah, nine week old kittens... they're 1 1/2 years old now! I really have nothing to say, except Helenmelon wrote to kindly berate (oxymoron? :o)) me for not posting anything, so this is my equivalent to sticking my tongue out at her. I'm enjoying my last weekend of the summer, as school starts on Wednesday technically, but we have meetings Monday and Tuesday. This is pretty much the last time I'll have a free minute until Christmas break! I'll be teaching 5th grade (as usual), but also teaching 8th grade Algebra I every day as well as doing Aftercare 2 days a week and tutoring the other 3 days after school. I've been spending the last week trying to get my classroom, the math room, and the Aftercare room set up and ready to go. Luckily, I'll only have 9 8th graders, because they'll be by far the hardest group to handle! The Aftercare kids will be different from last year, though- we have 10 new Kindergarteners! Our limit is 22 and 28 signed up, so we'll see how that goes... And I have 20 5th graders this year, with 3 new to the school, and one of them has dyslexia and severe diabetes, and another has hydrocephalus and some other long-termed condition, so I have a lot to learn about all of those conditions. Do you get the sense that I'm a little stressed about this year? I think it will be fun, though, and I'll get to learn a lot of new things. Yeah, keep telling yourself that, Sarah :o)
