Tired. Sore feet.

'Coz I've finished the SC, my school organizes year 10 activities. Yesterday (which I was too tired to write about) included walking from my school to the sporting fascility near my school (Pretty easy: downhill, flat), playing soccer for an hour (which I did not enjoy), walking to the park (all uphill), eating, then walking to the ocean baths REALLY far away, because the closest ones were being cleaned. Oh well, then I got to swim.

Today was actually fun. We went to Stockton to see/drive on/slide down the sand dunes. On the way there, me and my friend discussed the fandoms/pairings/genres we dislike (I'm looking meaningfully at any Teslenites reading this). There, I slid down the dunes (the first time thinking I was going to die), climbed back up them (knowing I had died and gone to hell) and then sliding down again. On the third and final slide, I absolutely stacked it. To make things even better, everyone was down the bottom to see my spectacular fall. Good thing I was so covered in sand I could easily blend into the surroundings.

Then, we journeyed to the Wetlands and walked around bird-watching (oh, fun). We got to canoe the way back which was kinda cool but Tim felt that everyone was not sufficiently wet. It was fun. My arms were sore. I was wet. Then commenced the half hour bus back to school, the hour long bus ride to Warner's bay, and the half hour walk home, all damp and covered in sand.

I may sound like I'm whining. I am. I will admit, it was more fun than I expected, more fun than school, and more fun than staying at home with nothing to do, but could the sand dunes be less, sandy.

On other matters, the council is going to chop down these beautiful fig trees in front of the city library, for no logical reason. My friend's mum was working on the court case (which we lost) and the injunction ends midnight Thursday. So we went around handing out flyers for a trivia night to raise money tonight. Hopefully, we'll also be going up and down the streets nearby where there are a lot of shops and people, and getting people to sign a petition. There are already eight and a half thousand signatures. If we can get more It will be great, next year is election year lol. If anyone reading this (does anyone read this?) has any sugestions on persuading the council to NOT cut down the fig trees, that would be great. If that doesn't work, me and Sam are going to chain ourselves to the trees. Which sould be interesting. I'm so not going to tell my mum. I'll just say I'm sleeping over at Sam's, and we'll sneak out at twelve.
