a rant in the making
why is that, whenever you think you are taking one step ahead you really end up taking 5 steps backwards?
why is it that people who are barely able to survive and need the help can never it get?
Why is it that people who really try to do well and help themselves, get nowheres and get no help?
I am writing this today, because as most of you know I live with my nannie midge, and she is a 60 year old women, who has some medical problems and is on assisants because she can't work. However, when she turned 60, and was able to get alittle more help, it really back fired on her. Right now as it stands afer paying bills and rent, she has 20 bucks left for grocerys and whatever else she needs. At the end of this month she is suppose to get an extra 300 bucks! Party right? Not so much, in turn for getting that extra 300 dollars, she is no longer covered under pharmcare. So now she is left to pay for her own medications. Which include; a cemo medicine for her arthist, plus another arthist pill, blood pressure meds, thyroid meds, puffers, 2 different dibetic pills, and the supplies for testing. So really instead of getting extra money she's going to be loosing more in order to pay for her health and well being.
what are the options, struggle to pay for the medication and make ends meet, or not take the meds and not have a life? Why should somsone have to make those choices? Why aren't there more opotions. Why do we punish people for getting what they are entitled too??
Really it just doesn't add up to me....
