Hey everyone who still uses LJ!  Today is August 19, 2007 and it is a not-so-nice day outside.  I had the day off from work because my boss said we could have it off, but we wouldn't have worked today anyway because it has been raining all day and we can't work when it rains.  (For those of you that don't know, I work for a property service...we powerwash and stain decks, wash windows, and sealcoat driveways...etc.)  But for the most part I like my job because I have a good boss and I get paid well and the pay helps college costs tremendously.  Doug is at band camp right now and I miss him already and it's only his second day there.  It is kinda weird not having to go to band, but kinda nice in other ways.  This year is going to be....a test.  A test determining whether or not I can make friends...haha, like that is going to be hard.  But it is going to be a huge test for Doug and I.  Another challenge that comes to mind is my mom...I mean I have been with her my whole life and it is going to be hard without seeing her everyday.  Although I will talk to her and Doug everyday, it will be a mental and physical challenge, but I will be more than capable of accomplishing it.  Right now I am reading a book for school called The Lakota Way and it's kinda intriguing.  It is about the Lakota tribe and many tales and accomplishments they have conquered.  I'm only 50 some pages into it, but like I said, it's intriguing.  I hung out with Brandi and Zach last night and that was....interesting?  We met up at Brandi's and then ventured to downtown Milford to visit Danielle and the little girl she was babysitting (she was so cute).  After Danielle left we decided to go to Jet's Pizza so Zach could say hi to his friend that was working there, later visiting Taco Bell so we could eat some Mexican food.  I had a chicken quesadilla (sp?) which was very delicious and then we went back to Brandi's house to listen to comedy, watch Potter Puppet Pals (which is halarious) and just to talk about anything and everything that we hadn't already discussed in previous time spent.  So I think that I am done updating for now and I am going to read more of that book because it needs to be done in a week and I don't know if I'll have time this week to finish it.  Comment if you wish to.

P.S.  Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was the most amazing book I have ever read!!

P.S.S.  I plan to backpack across Europe next summer...hopefully that happens.
