Okay. Referring to this line in Aeschylus:

and worse, he told how assaults of Furies spring
to life on the father's blood...

I say, "The Furies arise from the disgraced dead like maggots spontaneously generating from a corpse." Too much? It's a pretty gross image.

I don't know, Phyllis was pretty all over it when I started babbling on Friday off the top of my head about the words of Iphigenia's companions being like dandelion seeds floating over the sea. I think she totally digs this shit, and so do I. I feel like I've been given license to be as weird as I want. I like using images in academic writing. FUN FUN FUN
