'you're a bit quiet, you haven't seen us on stage for 10 years'
So I have listened to The Tears at least 5 times already.
It's only a live bootleg from the London show before Christmas, but I really do like it alot.
Some songs stand out more than others, of course.
Some will just need a few more listens, or will work better on record.
At the moment I really really like 'Brand New Century' best of all (wouldn't be out of place on 'Dog Man Star'), but I also like 'Autograph' (with it's 'Rebel Rebel' guitar sound) 'Apollo 13' (epic Suede slowie) 'Refugees' and 'The Lovers' (quite 'New Generation' sounding).
Some times they sound like Suede from 'Coming Up', at others it's more like Dog Man Star.
Most importantly it's Brett and Bernard back together again!!
So excited about hearing the album properly, with all the studio magic touches.
And I really want to see them live.
Maybe they'll do a festival this year?
I'll be back in August too.
Hmmm... I'd do a day at Reading if they played.
Anyway, Jodie, Nick, anyone else who has downloaded the new songs... what did you think??
