I hate my country
I was rading the headlines of the new york Times and there was this one on gay marriage, so even though I knew it was most likely going to piss me off I had to read it. Well it did. it was all about the leader of the christian conservatives and how hard he'd been working on ballot measures against gay marriage.
"We saw a stepped program, a plan by gay advocates," Mr. Burress recalled. "It would lead to homosexuality being taught in schools as equal to heterosexuality. And we saw that what they couldn't get from legislatures they would try to get by going to court."
Why the hell souldn't homosexuality be taught in schools? Why shouldn't it be equal to heterosexuality? Maybe next campaign you should fight against black history being taught in schools as equal to white history or something else just as bigoted as what you just said.
Banning gay marriage is going on the ballot in other states next voting season this includes Arizona. My grandma lives there. The instant I know what measure it is I'm calling her and making sure she knows that if she votes for banning gay marriage I'm never talking to her again. It's bad enough she voted for bush in the election.
I'd like to rant more but I have to go over to my conservative christian aunt's house. Fun. Just to tell you guys. I myself am christain but everyday I'm thinking more and more about going heretic. Just like I'm this close to leaving the u.s. and coming back when people learn how to think for themselves.
