New York Part 3/3

I am home from my vacation. Sadly, I am teh sick. I started feeling ill Friday evening and was fully sick for the plane ride home. Thanks to the landing (in which my ears refused to pop even once) my head feels like it is stuffed with cotton. Every time I tilt my head my ears threaten to try and kill me. It sucks. But on to more happy subjects!

I'd just like to start by saying the Met is the coolest museum I've ever been to. It was absolutely amazing. And absolutely huge. I think I could spend two days there and probably still have more to see. Unfortunately we could only spend two hours there. We also went to Central Park that day. It was gorgeous. If I ever become rich I want to get an apartment that overlooks Central Park and take walks there every day.

The next day we went to Coney Island and took the ferry to Staten Island. Coney Island was fun. I can now say that I have been in four of the Earth's oceans. Staten Island was cool in the sense that we got to see the Statue of Liberty fairly close up. We didn't actually stay, just got right back on the ferry and took it back.

On our last full day we went to Grand Central Terminal and wandered around a bit. The architecture was very cool. We also went to the MOMA. Not that it was a bad museum or anything, but I'm surprised at how many people recommended it as a must see thing. Seeing original Monet's, Van Gough's, Picasso's, and a ton of other famous artists was cool and all but the Met had many of those artists and other than that the MOMA wasn't that exciting. But modern art has never been my thing.

La Cage aux Folles was really amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone. Hair was also really nice although it was an interesting take on the story. Ace Young did a very good job as Berger. At the end he went around the audience and started hugging people. As I mentioned on facebook, he was very sweaty. But I can now say that I've been hugged by a celebrity.

Once again, pictures are on facebook if anyone wants to see them.

new york, sick
