Eeee! I really liked this, it's the type of scene I could definately see happening in canon. The characterisation is flawless, and you establish a wonderful atmosphere and overall feel. It seems so very real, not at all fanficish, if that makes any sense. I suppose what I'm trying to say is that fanfic in general often has a certain feel to it, but this transcends that. Ah. There's the word: professional. Why use one word though when you can babble on for five or six lines ;). loved it, and hope you write more ^^.
