Since when did I have a crush on someone I didn't really know? All we had said was a few words to each other, but exhanged many more heart-in-the-throat-smiles. I feel like such a little schoolgirl. I feel SHY for the first time since grade 11! I haven't had a crush like this since grade ELEVEN. The kind where you record every little minor interaction in your mind as if it is a solar eclipse that happens only once every millenia. SO he gets to the gym today, and I saw him coming through the window, so of course my ears get all hot and my blood pressure rises. My heart starts beating like a hundred native drums. Of course I try to look busy. I say hey, how's it going? Good, you? Marvelous, now that you have graced me with your beautiful brad pitt like looks. OOOh lucky me, he has to change his credit card info, but he is going to wait till after his workout. OHHHH that was the longest hour and a half of my life. I go into the other half of the gym to grab a garbage bag from the broom closet as an excuse to check him out. He immediately smiles at me from the bike. Nice! Finally a guy who understands the concept of cardio! Back at the desk. He goes and gets changed. I wish I could watch. He comes up to the desk and says "OK, lets do this." Do what, baby? He fills his info out and my nervousness subsides. I speak. He looks up. This is what was amazing. As soon as we made eye contact, we both smiled THAT SMILE. You know the one? I got this funny feeling in my stomach. We started talking and breaking the ice. Just talkin away, and I kept having so many interruptions, dammit! First, someone was asking me how to work the music, next, my boss phoned, next, someone came up to the desk for an inquiry, and the phone rang again! Throughout all the interruptions, He stood there politely and patiently waited for my to finish so that we could continue talking. Finally, the phone rang again and he said, "you seem really busy! But I will be here tomorrow, so I'll see you then!" I HATE WATCHING HIM WALK AWAY cause I have to wait all the way till tomorrow. But I guess that's what makes it fun. Anticipation. Funny thing: My whole family knows him cause my brother played hockey with him, but I never properly met him. I know he is a shy guy. SO this is good. He took the initiative to reach his delightful hand over the desk and introduce himself. I'm not shy. He made me shy, that fox. Now I don't have to be shy anymore. As soon as he left, I went upstairs to heat up my soup and since the room was empty, I went "weeeeeeeee hehehehehehe!!!!" and jumped around like a giddy little beast just like "SARA" from "Love, Actually." Please be worth this Journal entry, crush.
