I understand how you feel completely. We all need reinforcement, especially for our creative side, and also for ourselves as meaningful human beings. The only thing I can say is, I often feel the same way, and the only ways I know of dealing with it are: 1. do something else creative to distract me 2. go out and be social and try to connect with a couple of people, even if it fails.... 3. get drunk and silly, sometimes in accordance with #2. 4. watch an awesome film or listen to one of my favorite albums to remind myself of what I DO love and what gives me the passion to CREATE...In a way, I consider my films and my albums to be my substitute friends when I need them. But I know that it isn't always good enough....Sometimes you need a real hug. But the problem is finding people who understand you well enough to really mean it when they hug you....(I don't want anyone's pity, you know)

And hopefully your vacation will get you out of feeling so stuck. Sometimes getting the hell out of dodge kind of refreshes your perspective on everything....
