Overview of New Job
45-50 hours will be the norm for this job. First week was 47.5
This job will challenge me intellectually.
I will rotate between the functional roles of a business analyst, project manager, organizer, secretary & tech guru.
My new co-cospirator will be both the rescue and bane of my existence. (We cover two different areas so we can't always support each other.)
My new boss will keep me on my toes, while managing to be friendly and inclusive.
There is office politics, but I don't know the full story yet.
I may actually have several bosses, and apparently there was a bit of competition of who would get to hire me.
5AM Meetings with other coutries are cool.
Working from 5AM to 6:30PM with 30 minutes for a shower and 30 for lunch is not cool
My new boss gave me her cold.
I will start walking to work 9/17. Husband will be driving to work by then which will give him 2 - 3 months before he has to drive in the snow. My hours are going to be erratic so baby plans are being put on hold and we are looking to get back on schedule in 9 months depending on how work goes.
Also in recent developments, we are now the organizers of the local Grove. I will begin teaching next week - so this is the wknd for lesson plans. We are both teaching workshops at the local Pagan Priday Day coming up; together we are coaching a section on Earth Based Religions and I am doing a seperate session on Feminist Relgions.
Life is so incredibly busy and friends are coming out of the woodwork which is really a change for us, it's like my previous job was holding our life from re-aligning itself and getting us back to a healthy space.
Life Lesson to take away.... if the job saps your soul - then leave it.
