Hi.
Eh. Stuff going on. Lots of stuff. I just wish it could hit the 60's, and life would be grand.
I am thinking I did not get the job I interviewed for on Monday, as I saw that they had reposted their ad. That's ok, though. I think it would have been a decent position, but in all honesty I was a little wary about the environment and what I'd be doing. I just got a strange feeling, and that's about as well as I can describe it.
Regardless, it was good to interview. I feel like I did pretty well overall in the interview, and I definitely feel more confident now for future interviews. Also, I got a chance to meet up with Danny for lunch, followed by a viewing of one of The Kut Outs' only visual documentations of existing. It was from the Baggot Inn, and watching it again so many years later really made me smile. We weren't great or the next huge thing, but we were really very good. I almost can't believe it was me drumming in that video, and that I had only been playing for about a year and a half when that was recorded.
Anyway.
I have a phone interview scheduled for later today with someone from one company, and then a live interview for next Wednesday with someone from a different company.
Otherwise, hockey officially starts on Sunday. Some mega storm is predicted, though, so I'm not sure if I'll be going to that. First, because since destroying my leg, I always feel uneasy about playing in slippery conditions. Second, because I managed to get an infected cut on the foot of my non-bad-leg, thereby creating extra stress on the bad leg.
Later, after the phone interview, I hope to get some riding in with MP. I've been test riding his various fixies, and I am considering finally getting one. While I like the way they look and feel and all, the real issue is my knee. I will definitely need a set of brakes for starters and maybe eventually an easier gear ratio. It's not really pedaling forward that gives me issues--I even feel like that's good for my legs--but more the back pressure that causes a lot of pain.
So I'll see. I have my eyes on a non-chrome (!!) Pista if I do decide to get one.
