I beat the dentist today. He walked in with low expectations when he heard I hadn't seen a dentist in 16+ years, and left saying he was mildly disappointed, because he wanted more cavities and badness.
The cavity I went in for was nothing more than a slight stain and a shadow. So he scraped that away. I decided to invest in 3 things from him. 1 filing for a piece of tooth I chipped off a few years back and just went "meh" at. 1 actual tiny cavity, that was by his words, almost not worth mentioning. And 1 extraction for the tooth I broke off at the root about 8 years ago.
In fact he greeted me by talking about the broken tooth, the entire office didn't understand how I haven't been in massive pain for the past 8 years.
Doc: So, that tooth doesn't bother you? no pain?
me: not in the slightest sir (yes, I said sir).
Doc: ..... it really should though.
nurse: that's what I thought!
it also seems I can't go anywhere without meeting someone that knows my family. yeah, the assistant went to friggin school with my dad.
I really, really, want to find a place where people don't know who I am.
