Leeteuk leaned against the cold stone wall, listening as the water dripped onto the cemented floor. The air was refreshing thanks to the previous rain that had just settled itself over Korea. He sighed and watched the smoke come from his mouth. He blew again and drew a heart through the middle of it, right before it disappeared. It was cold but he didn't really care, he just needed a break from everything going on in their dorm.
Kangin looked over at their leader who decided to join him out here. He never minded when Leeteuk would suddenly barge into his personal space; he was more than grateful and pleased that the other man chose him to consult with. He idly played with his fingers and stared at the grey sky above. Its been awhile since the sun shone through. The atmosphere wasn't quite the same without that constant warmth in the air, it burdened him.
"Kangin-ah..." Leeteuk asked, tilting his head down to look at the floor.
"Yeah?" Kangin muttered back, closing his eyes to try and relax. They rarely spoke at moments like these; it defeated the purpose of being here at all.
"What do you think...we, Super Junior, will be like in a few years?" Leeteuk had an edge to his voice, like he was worrying over something. That wasn't much of a surprise though, as the leader he always worried about something. Kangin didn't think the man was ever burden-free.
Kangin hummed in thought and stuffed his hands into his pockets, clenching them into fists. He really didn't have an answer to that.
"Hopefully, as successful as we are now. Maybe better?" he asked, almost wanting to reassure himself. He didn't like to think about the future of Super Junior. His personality leads him to just live what is now. Not what is going to be.
"But...isn't that thinking too positive? What if something happens to one of us again?" Leeteuk countered back, also closing his eyes. The amount of sleep he had this week didn't even add up to 2 days worth of sleep. Living this life was slowly killing him inside out.
"I'd prefer to think positive, wouldn't you?" Kangin asked curiously, quietly.
"It's difficult." he answered, sighing loudly and kicking his heel into the stone wall, pushing himself off. He rubbed his eyes out of sleepiness even though it was only 2 P.M. Kangin noticed after he opened his eyes and mentally wanted to lecture the man. Leeteuk was always wearing himself out with work. "You need more sleep." he said, stating the obvious.
Leeteuk rolled his eyes, "Thanks for the concern but I don't really have time to sleep anymore."
That set a strange silence between the two. The birds chirped, the water continued to patter.
"Leeteuk..."
"Yes?"
..... "I love you."
