Summary: Eunhyuk and Sungmin are in a steady relationship. But one day Sungmin goes missing, and Eunhyuk loses his memories. Donghae decides to take care of Eunhyuk, but only without the truth.

The next day was like a repeat of the day before. Donghae was nowhere to be seen in the morning, and Eunhyuk, again, was practicing on how to say a simple 'I love you' with the help of Ryeowook. "Love" Ryeowook said. "Le-" Eunhyuk could only utter how a small portion of the word. He frowned again. This was going nowhere and they had been trying this for 2 hours. "Don't give up!" Ryeowook encouraged again. "Try.. ov…" Ryeowook said. "O-o..veu…" Eunhyuk tried. It was not the best, but he still got it. "Now try love~" Ryeowook said, hoping that it would work this time. "Le-oh-veu…" Eunhyuk said in portions, his voice a bit rusty and it wasn't at his best. "Keep practicing. Love!" Ryeowook repeated again. "Lo-veu…" Eunhyuk let out, getting better. After 1 more hour; "Love…" Eunhyuk said it smoothly. Ryeowook's eyes lit up and he hugged Eunhyuk. "Now try… I love" Ryeowook said, excited. "I-I…l-love…" Eunhyuk tried his best, and he could say it. Ryeowook's eyes started glittering.
"I love you Hyukkie!" Ryeowook shouted and jumped on Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk giggled at the cute Ryeowook. The thing is, it was bad timing. Yesung was walking pass the room when he heard Ryeowook shout 'I love you Hyukkie!', and he could hear giggles following that. His smile dropped, and he walked away, still gripping onto a small box. "Hyukkie Hyukkie! You're going to tell Donghae you love him right??" Ryeowook said excited. Eunhyuk blushed and nodded. "Aww… he'll be so happy!" Ryeowook squealed. Eunhyuk laughed at Ryeowook's cuteness again, thanked him for the lesson, and walked back to his room.
He was bored. He hadn't gone out for 2 days, well, basically because Ryeowook had work and Yesung wouldn't allow him to go out alone. 'Ah!' Eunhyuk remembered. He rushed down to the kitchen to meet Shindong. Shindong chuckled when he saw Eunhyuk enter the kitchen. "And i thought you would've forgotten" Shindong teased, and Eunhyuk smiled sheepishly. "Tomorrow i have an off day" Shindong told him. "So watch carefully, okay?" Shindong continued. Eunhyuk nodded eagerly and watched Shindong get to work. Eunhyuk was amazed by how Shindong was baking the cake. Shindong chuckled and continued baking the cake. "…and just pop it into the oven and it'll be done in 2 hours!" Shindong told him. Eunhyuk nodded and wrote it down. He thanked Shindong and walked to his room.
He laid down on the bed and sighed. He turned to lay on right left side, where Donghae slept and he could smell Donghae's scent. 'I miss you' Eunhyuk thought to himself, closing his eyes and drifted off to sleep. That evening when Donghae hadn't returned home yet, Eunhyuk walked to Ryeowook's room and wanted to learn the rest of the 3 famous words. "You" Ryeowook said, teaching him how to move the mouth and whatsoever. Eunhyuk tried, but could only let out a simple "uu". He frowned again. This was the hardest word he had ever tried, not like the other two were easy. "You~" Ryeowook repeated. "Uuu…" Eunhyuk tried and frowned at the result. It was hard to pronounce to begin with. "You" Ryeowook said again. "Uu…" Eunhyuk tried his best, trying to force the word to go the way it's supposed to, but failed. "It's okay. You're not used to it. 'y' is hard to pronounce" Ryeowook said, trying not to get him discouraged. "We'll try again tomorrow morning, okay?" Ryeowook said to him. Eunhyuk smiled and thanked him, then proceeded to exited the room. But when he turned around to add something, he could see Ryeowook unhappy. 'Is something wrong?' Eunhyuk asked. Ryeowook frowned. "Yesung didn't come to my room, not even once today" Ryeowook said, unhappy. 'Don't worry. He's probably busy' Eunhyuk comforted him. Ryeowook nodded and tried to force himself to smile, Eunhyuk noticed, but he didn't do anything because he figured that butting into Yesung and Ryeowook's problem wasn't the best thing to do.
Eunhyuk was bored all night. Donghae hadn't reached home yet, well, it's not like they'll have a good, smooth conversation with each other. Eunhyuk went out of the room and went to look for Yesung. He asked Shindong where Yesung was, and Shindong answered where he thought Yesung would be. Eunhyuk entered the second living room and saw Yesung tidying up things there. Yesung noticed Eunhyuk walk in, and couldn't help but to remember what had happened earlier, but he knows Eunhyuk wasn't in the wrong, so he doesn't say anything. "Hi Eunhyuk. What are you doing here?" Yesung asked him, acknowledging his presence. 'You're good friends with Donghae, right?' Eunhyuk questioned. Yesung smiled and nodded. 'How long have you been friends?' Eunhyuk asked again. Yesung thought hard. "7 to 8 years?" Yesung said, unsure of exactly how long. Eunhyuk nodded. 'How was he like back then?' Eunhyuk asked again, shyly. Yesung smiled and gestured Eunhyuk to sit down.
"He's pretty much the same as now" Yesung told him. "He used to have a girlfriend and he was very overprotective of her, just like he is with you" Yesung continued, noticing Eunhyuk blushing at the last statement. "He loved singing more than anything, resulting in his girlfriend breaking up with him. She thought that being a singer was a tiring job and you don't earn enough pay, and got angry that Donghae enjoyed singing and dancing more than spending time with her, so she broke up. But she misunderstood. Donghae was learning how to sing and dance just for her, to serenade her like he's seen people do plenty of times. Sadly, she broke up with him right when he was about to serenade to her and Donghae was left heartbroken" Yesung said. Eunhyuk could feel a pang against his heart when Yesung mentioned how much Donghae did just to make his girlfriend happy.
"I remember him coming to my house at 3am. Keeping me up and ranting to me, then cried a lot" Yesung chuckled. "I almost kicked him out of my house because i needed my rest, turns out, we kept talking until 9 in the morning" Yesung continued, reminiscing a few years back. 'Did you like him before?' Eunhyuk asked, embarrassed at the question. Yesung laughed. "I only saw him as a best friend. I have someone else in mind…" Yesung said, but made a fake smile at the last sentence. Eunhyuk could see through him. 'Is something wrong?' he questioned worriedly. Yesung didn't want to say it, afraid that it would be his misinterpretion, but went against his own wishes and decided to tell Eunhyuk.
"This morning… when Ryeowook said 'I love you Hyukkie'…" Yesung couldn't continue on, he started blushing. Eunhyuk thought for a while what was wrong, and when he finally figured out, he started giggling. 'He just helped me with something. There's no true feelings. Just… brothers' Eunhyuk answered. At that moment, Yesung felt the most stupid in his entire life. Eunhyuk notice something fall out of Yesung's pocket and reached to pick it up, seeing that Yesung didn't notice. He bent over and grabbed the small box, a bit surprised. 'A ring?' Eunhyuk asked eagerly. Yesung blushed and immediately took it back. "Y-yeah…" Yesung said, blushing. 'Go give him now!' Eunhyuk said half excited, half eager. Yesung chuckled and stood up. 'Good luck' Eunhyuk cheered him on. Yesung smiled at him and walked off to Ryeowook's room.
Ryeowook was laying on bed, bored. He started rolling to the left, then to the right, to the left, then the right. A knock was heard on his door and he could hear Yesung's voice. He immediately bounced up noticing it was Yesung. "Y-yes?" Ryeowook shouted, trying not to sound very happy and excited. "Can i come in?" Yesung asked. Ryeowook looked around his room and if Yesung were to walk into his room, he was die of embarrassment. "N-no. I'll come out" Ryeowook told him and walked towards the door. He opened the door and immediately closed it behind him. Once he saw Yesung, he started blushing. "Umm… is there anything you need?" Ryeowook asked, trying to hide his shyness. Yesung smiled. "Close your eyes" he told Ryeowook. Ryeowook wondered what was happening and closed his eyes. "You're not going to throw me off the balcony, are you?" Ryeowook asked, half serious. Yesung chuckled.
He then slipped something hard and round into Ryeowook's finger. Ryeowook opened his eyes and gasped at the ring. "When you're feeling depressed or unhappy, look at this ring and think of me" Yesung told him gently, bringing Ryeowook's hand up and kissed the ring on his finger, then proceeded to Ryeowook's lips. A simple touch on the lips, but it meant a lot. Ryeowook blushed really hard, and even though he tried to hold his shyness, a face red like an apple wasn't doing him any justice. "I love you" Yesung whispered to him, and Ryeowook shivered. He didn't answer, but his eyes said everything. Yesung laughed and hugged Ryeowook. Eunhyuk saw the happy couple and smiled, but he couldn't help but to wonder where Donghae was. It was already 11pm, but Donghae hadn't returned yet. "Just get some rest, maybe he's working late today" Yesung told him and tucked Eunhyuk in the covers. Eunhyuk nodded a bit worried. Yesung kissed Eunhyuk's forehead and wished him goodnight, switched off the lights and exited the room.
"Yesungie…" Ryeowook said when Yesung came out of Donghae and Eunhyuk's shared room. "I know. It's a first" Yesung told Ryeowook, both of them worried. The next day soon came, and Yesung found Ryeowook in his arms, both of them on the living room sofa. He laid Ryeowook back down gently and got up. He walked to the kitchen and saw that Shindong was already awake. "Did Donghae come back home?" Yesung asked him. Shindong shook his head. "I didn't hear him come in" Shindong told him. Yesung nodded and walked out of the kitchen worriedly. He tried to dial Donghae's number, but just like his yesterday, the phone wasn't reachable. Eunhyuk walked down the stairs and Yesung looked up at him. Eunhyuk's eyes were red and puffy, signs from crying all night yesterday. "Good morning" Yesung told him. Eunhyuk smiled, but it only lasted a second, then he walked and sat on the sofa, oblivious of what's happening around him.
Tears started welling up in his eyes again and he hung his head low, sniffing. Ryeowook awoke to Eunhyuk's sobs and saw Eunhyuk right in front of him crying. Ryeowook immediately hugged Eunhyuk. "Don't cry" he told Eunhyuk, and he himself started crying as well. "D-don't *hiccup* cry" Ryeowook said between sobs. Yesung looked at the two worriedly and wondered where Donghae was. The door clicked open and everyone looked up. The door opened and in walked a familiar face, Donghae. "Donghae!" Yesung immediately shouted, but he noticed that it wasn't the usual Donghae. He was drunk.
Yesung immediately took Donghae up to his room to shower then sleep. When he came back down, he saw Eunhyuk's and Ryeowook's face even more worried. "He just needs some rest" Yesung told the two. Eunhyuk just leaned back, a bit relieved that Donghae was fine, well, not beaten up or anything. He turned to Ryeowook and noticed a ring on his finger. He felt a little jealous that the two were happy while him and Donghae were still unstable. Ryeowook remembered what Yesung told him yesterday. 'When you're feeling depressed or unhappy, look at this ring and think of me' Ryeowook looked at his ring and kissed it. He couldn't help but to think Eunhyuk was even more worried than him.
When Yesung helped Donghae wipe his body and change his clothes, he could hear Donghae's slurred words. "Eunhyuk… why…" Donghae mumbled, half conscious. "What did you do to yourself, Donghae" Yesung wondered, when opening Donghae's buttoned up shirt, he noticed some scratches and bruises on his body. "E-Eunhyuk…" Donghae mumbled again, tears streaming out of his eyes this time. "You must really love Eunhyuk" Yesung told him and smiled. He wiped Donghae's face with a damp cloth. "Rest well, Donghae" he told Donghae and exited the room. He went down and told the two that Donghae just needed some rest.
"I'm leaving" Shindong said, unlocking the door, leaving. Eunhyuk nodded and he remembered what he needed to do. He walked into the kitchen and took out all the ingredients. While mixing the ingredients, he practiced by himself. "Uu…" Eunhyuk said, still not satisfied, he kept repeating. "Uu…uuu…iuu… yuu…" he then paused as he finally got it. "Y-you" he tried again and smiled to himself. "I-I love y-you!" Eunhyuk said. Eunhyuk got really happy and he started baking happily, repeating the three same words over and over again. Ryeowook, who passed the kitchen, heard Eunhyuk and gasped. He immediately went in and hugged Eunhyuk. "You got it! You go it!" Ryeowook exclaimed happily and proud. Eunhyuk smiled at him. "Are you baking a cake? For Donghae?" Ryeowook asked him and Eunhyuk nodded in return. Ryeowook then exited the kitchen after a while of chatting with Eunhyuk.
It was now 5 in the afternoon and Eunhyuk was done with everything. He prepared everything. The card, the cake, and most importantly, his three words. The phone rang while he was proceeding to Donghae's and his shared room. He picked it up with one hand. "Hello? Can i please speak to Donghae? I want to thank him for the amazing time yesterday" the voice on the other end said. It wasn't Eeteuk. No, it was a girl's voice. Eunhyuk immediately dropped everything he was holding at the time. The card dropped down, the cake following in suite, the glass plate crashing to the ground. Yesung and Ryeowook heard the crash and immediately rushed to where it came from. Yesung saw the glass plate in pieces, the cake in the middle squashed, and the card dirtied. Yesung could hear the other person on the line of the phone repeating 'hello'. He went and picked the phone up. "Do not call again" Yesung said on the phone and slammed it down.
He cursed knowing that Eunhyuk ran out of the house. "Yesung?? What happened?!" Ryeowook came running, worried. "E-Eunhyuk…?" Ryeowook asked, seeing no sign of Eunhyuk. "He ran out" Yesung said. Ryeowook gasped. "But he…" Ryeowook got really scared and worried for Eunhyuk. "Not a lot of people understand sign language, and there are a lot of people who think those kind of people are weird!" Ryeowook got even more frightened. "Yesung! I'm going out to look for Eunhyuk!" Ryeowook shouted, running out. "You go. I'll look in a while. Take your phone with you" Yesung told him. Ryeowook nodded and took his phone and ran out. It started pouring heavily. 'Oh Eunhyuk…' Ryeowook thought worriedly in his head.
Yesung walked up to Donghae's and Eunhyuk's shared room. He saw Donghae sitting up. "Oh, you're awake?" Yesung asked. Donghae nodded. "I have a splitting headache and-" before Donghae could continue his sentence, a fist landed on his jaw and gave him a huge blow as he fell to the ground. He placed his palm on his jaw and looked up at Yesung. "What the hell did you do last night?! Eunhyuk was worried about you!" Yesung shouted at Donghae. "Nothing" Donghae mumbled. "Are you hiding something from me?" Yesung asked, shocked. This was the first time, ever. Donghae looked up and fumbled with his shirt. "I went to a bar. I drank a lot because… i thought Eunhyuk didn't love me. Sungmin called me, and said i was delusional. I…" Donghae couldn't continue, he thought he would have to apologize to Eunhyuk quickly. "Where's Eunhyuk?" Donghae asked, looking around, seeing no sign of Eunhyuk. "He ran out. Apparently a girl called and asked for you to thank you for the 'amazing time' yesterday" Yesung told him, slightly disappointed in Donghae. "What? I didn't give anyone my number! I didn't talk with any girl! I only talked with the bartender!" Donghae said. "Well, you tell that to Eunhyuk" Yesung said, and at that point, there was a flash of lightning.
Donghae looked out and he cursed. "I have to go and look for him" Donghae said, immediately getting up and grabbing his handphone. He rushed out and Yesung looked at him leaving. He sighed. He then grabbed his phone and rushed out as well. The rain was falling heavily and it was getting heavier and heavier. Eunhyuk was walking through the rain and he started sniffing. It was cold, and he was only wearing a thin white shirt, making his shirt see-through. While walking, he found himself in an unknown place. He wanted to ask someone where he was so he walked to a bunch of guys he saw. 'Excuse me, where is this place?' Eunhyuk asked using hand signs. The bunch of guys didn't know what he meant but they suddenly had a weird grin on their smug faces. Eunhyuk sensed something wrong and he wanted to leave, but he was stopped. "Where are you going, my dear?" one of the guys said, slipping his shirt under Eunhyuk's shirt and felt his stomach. "Ooohh.. abs too huh?" the guy said and smirked. Eunhyuk shuddered under the touch and he felt really scared. He wanted to scream, but he couldn't.
Donghae cursed, looking around him. It was pouring and there was barely anyone on the streets. "Where are you, Eunhyuk?!" Donghae asked to no one, getting more and more worried. He ran down the street and thought of where Eunhyuk would go to. From a point, he saw far away, there were a bunch of guys. He thought that maybe the guys would have seen him so he approached them, but the nearer he got, the more he felt hatred for them. When it was finally visible, he saw the bunch of guys molesting someone. He knows that he should find Eunhyuk, but he couldn't let someone get molested right in front of him. It's just wrong. "Hey! Stop touching that boy!" Donghae shouted. All of them turned to Donghae and Donghae could see who the boy was. He gasped seeing that the boy was Eunhyuk. He immediately got really angry and could only see blood right in front of him. "Don't you dare touch him" he said, getting angrier. The guys smirked. "Why?" one of them asked. Donghae smirked and he ran forward. "I'm going to make you regret doing this" Donghae shouted and landed a punch on one of the guy's face.
He kicked another guy's stomach, sending him flying and crashed against the fence. He punched another guy's jaw and kicked his shin. The others ran away and immediately left Eunhyuk. Donghae ran towards Eunhyuk and hugged him. Donghae pulled away and caressed Eunhyuk's face. "I'm sorry… I'm so sorry…" Donghae whispered to him. Eunhyuk cried. He had felt so scared just now, but when he saw Donghae right in front of him, he was relieved and he cried even more. "I love you…" Donghae whispered, kissing Eunhyuk's eyes. "You don't have to reply to me. Please don't do this again. I'm so sorry…" Donghae said regretfully. Eunhyuk thought about what he had prepared 2 hours ago. He didn't have a cake, or the card, but words are more important right? "I-I… love y-you…" Eunhyuk said, looking up at Donghae. Donghae got shocked. "Eunhyuk…" Donghae said, proud of Eunhyuk, and felt stupid. "I love you" Donghae whispered again and smiled, kissing Eunhyuk's forehead. "Let's go home" Donghae told him. Eunhyuk nodded. He got up but he immediately fell down. "Eunhyuk? Did you sprain your ankle?" Donghae asked worriedly. Eunhyuk felt his ankle and it hurt. "Hop on my back" Donghae said, crouching down and getting into position. Eunhyuk paused. "Come on" Donghae said happily. Eunhyuk slowly got onto Donghae. Donghae got up and smiled.
His phone rang but he didn't pick it up. He didn't have any free hands to. He felt Eunhyuk's head fall onto his shoulder and Donghae knew that Eunhyuk had fallen asleep. He smiled and walked home in the rain. Once he reached home, he placed Eunhyuk on the sofa. He then called Yesung and Ryeowook, telling the 2 of them that he had found Eunhyuk and they're now at home. He walked back to Eunhyuk and saw that he was awake. "Let's see your ankle. I'll call the doctor tomorrow" Donghae said. Eunhyuk nodded. "Come on. Let's go to our room" Donghae said. Eunhyuk nodded and with Donghae's help, they reached their room. Donghae helped Eunhyuk change his clothes and wipe his body. Donghae then took off his wet shirt. Eunhyuk saw bruises and scratches on his body and got worried. Donghae smiled. "Don't worry" he assured Eunhyuk. Donghae wiped his own body and got into bed with Eunhyuk. He faced Eunhyuk and smiled. "I love you" Donghae said again. "I-I… love..y-you" Eunhyuk repeated. Donghae smiled at him. "Don't you say that to anyone else" Donghae told Eunhyuk and Eunhyuk giggled. Donghae's and Eunhyuk's eye met for a while. Eunhyuk slowly closed his eyes as Donghae neared Eunhyuk. Donghae landed his lips onto Eunhyuk's. Eunhyuk opened his mouth willingly and Donghae stuck his tongue in, exploring Eunhyuk's cavern. After kissing, Eunhyuk blushed, making Donghae chuckle at his cuteness. "Goodnight, Eunhyuk" Donghae said, and both him and Eunhyuk fell asleep.
The next day, Eunhyuk and Donghae made their way down to the kitchen together. Yesung and Ryeowook looked up and smiled. "Donghae? Your jaw…" Ryeowook said, and all eyes turned to Donghae's swollen jaw. Donghae chuckled. "A friend woke me up" Donghae said, looking at Yesung. Yesung tsked and smiled anyways. Shindong placed cake on the table. "Cake for breakfast?" Donghae asked. "It's what Eunhyuk made" Shindong said smiling. "Didn't…?" Ryeowook asked, remembering that the cake was squashed. "That was only a piece of it" Shindong asked, and Ryeowook nodded stupidly. "Oh, and Eunhyuk's card…" Yesung said, taking out a card. "Luckily it's plastic!" Ryeowook said happily. Donghae took it and smiled. "I love you" Donghae said to Eunhyuk and smiled. Eunhyuk blushed, but replied. "I love y-you.." Eunhyuk said, shocking everyone else at the table, except for Donghae and Ryeowook. "So sweeeeeettt~~~~~~~~~~~" Ryeowook squealed happily. "Yesung! You should do that too!" Ryeowook said, turning to Yesung. "I already did" Yesung said nonchalantly, when he was actually too embarrassed to say it again. Ryeowook pouted. "Besides, you already have the ring" Yesung said. Ryeowook pouted even more.
"Did they…?" Donghae asked, not sure of whether what he interpreted was right or not. Eunhyuk nodded. "I wish i had a boyfriend like Donghae" Ryeowook said, pouting, trying to tick Yesung off. "YAH!" Yesung shouted, Ryeowook succeeding in his plan. They all chuckled.
"Come on, Eunhyukkie!" Donghae said, pulling Eunhyuk. "I know you don't believe me, but i didn't know that girl! And to show you, i've brought you to the bar that i went to yesterday!" Donghae said. Donghae dragged Eunhyuk in and waved at the bartender. "Kangin! Tell my boyfriend that i came here yesterday and i didn't talk with any girl!" Donghae told Kangin. "Your boyfriend?" Kangin teased him. Donghae immediately blushed. "J-just tell him!" Donghae said, stuttering. Kangin chuckled. "He was talking to me all night long about his worries with you. Don't worry, i made sure no girl came up to him" Kangin said, assuring Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk smiled and nodded. Donghae then spotted someone sitting at the bar table. "Eeteuk?!" Donghae gasped. Eeteuk turned back and smiled cheekily. "You know my boyfriend?" Kangin asked, surprised. Donghae gasped even more and Eunhyuk chuckled.
"Tell me! When!" Donghae questioned Eeteuk. Eeteuk blushed. "Since a month ago? When i first came to this bar" Eeteuk said, avoiding Donghae's stare. "And you didn't tell me??" Donghae asked, pretending to be hurt. "Well, you had your own problems" Eeteuk told him, and Donghae agreed. "Fine. Don't keep secrets like this anymore from me! It's too juicy not to know!" Donghae said, and Eeteuk rolled his eyes.

The next day was like a repeat of the day before. Donghae was nowhere to be seen in the morning, and Eunhyuk, again, was practicing on how to say a simple 'I love you' with the help of Ryeowook. "Love" Ryeowook said. "Le-" Eunhyuk could only utter how a small portion of the word. He frowned again. This was going nowhere and they had been trying this for 2 hours. "Don't give up!" Ryeowook encouraged again. "Try.. ov…" Ryeowook said. "O-o..veu…" Eunhyuk tried. It was not the best, but he still got it. "Now try love~" Ryeowook said, hoping that it would work this time. "Le-oh-veu…" Eunhyuk said in portions, his voice a bit rusty and it wasn't at his best. "Keep practicing. Love!" Ryeowook repeated again. "Lo-veu…" Eunhyuk let out, getting better. After 1 more hour; "Love…" Eunhyuk said it smoothly. Ryeowook's eyes lit up and he hugged Eunhyuk. "Now try… I love" Ryeowook said, excited. "I-I…l-love…" Eunhyuk tried his best, and he could say it. Ryeowook's eyes started glittering.
"I love you Hyukkie!" Ryeowook shouted and jumped on Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk giggled at the cute Ryeowook. The thing is, it was bad timing. Yesung was walking pass the room when he heard Ryeowook shout 'I love you Hyukkie!', and he could hear giggles following that. His smile dropped, and he walked away, still gripping onto a small box. "Hyukkie Hyukkie! You're going to tell Donghae you love him right??" Ryeowook said excited. Eunhyuk blushed and nodded. "Aww… he'll be so happy!" Ryeowook squealed. Eunhyuk laughed at Ryeowook's cuteness again, thanked him for the lesson, and walked back to his room.
He was bored. He hadn't gone out for 2 days, well, basically because Ryeowook had work and Yesung wouldn't allow him to go out alone. 'Ah!' Eunhyuk remembered. He rushed down to the kitchen to meet Shindong. Shindong chuckled when he saw Eunhyuk enter the kitchen. "And i thought you would've forgotten" Shindong teased, and Eunhyuk smiled sheepishly. "Tomorrow i have an off day" Shindong told him. "So watch carefully, okay?" Shindong continued. Eunhyuk nodded eagerly and watched Shindong get to work. Eunhyuk was amazed by how Shindong was baking the cake. Shindong chuckled and continued baking the cake. "…and just pop it into the oven and it'll be done in 2 hours!" Shindong told him. Eunhyuk nodded and wrote it down. He thanked Shindong and walked to his room.
He laid down on the bed and sighed. He turned to lay on right left side, where Donghae slept and he could smell Donghae's scent. 'I miss you' Eunhyuk thought to himself, closing his eyes and drifted off to sleep. That evening when Donghae hadn't returned home yet, Eunhyuk walked to Ryeowook's room and wanted to learn the rest of the 3 famous words. "You" Ryeowook said, teaching him how to move the mouth and whatsoever. Eunhyuk tried, but could only let out a simple "uu". He frowned again. This was the hardest word he had ever tried, not like the other two were easy. "You~" Ryeowook repeated. "Uuu…" Eunhyuk tried and frowned at the result. It was hard to pronounce to begin with. "You" Ryeowook said again. "Uu…" Eunhyuk tried his best, trying to force the word to go the way it's supposed to, but failed. "It's okay. You're not used to it. 'y' is hard to pronounce" Ryeowook said, trying not to get him discouraged. "We'll try again tomorrow morning, okay?" Ryeowook said to him. Eunhyuk smiled and thanked him, then proceeded to exited the room. But when he turned around to add something, he could see Ryeowook unhappy. 'Is something wrong?' Eunhyuk asked. Ryeowook frowned. "Yesung didn't come to my room, not even once today" Ryeowook said, unhappy. 'Don't worry. He's probably busy' Eunhyuk comforted him. Ryeowook nodded and tried to force himself to smile, Eunhyuk noticed, but he didn't do anything because he figured that butting into Yesung and Ryeowook's problem wasn't the best thing to do.
Eunhyuk was bored all night. Donghae hadn't reached home yet, well, it's not like they'll have a good, smooth conversation with each other. Eunhyuk went out of the room and went to look for Yesung. He asked Shindong where Yesung was, and Shindong answered where he thought Yesung would be. Eunhyuk entered the second living room and saw Yesung tidying up things there. Yesung noticed Eunhyuk walk in, and couldn't help but to remember what had happened earlier, but he knows Eunhyuk wasn't in the wrong, so he doesn't say anything. "Hi Eunhyuk. What are you doing here?" Yesung asked him, acknowledging his presence. 'You're good friends with Donghae, right?' Eunhyuk questioned. Yesung smiled and nodded. 'How long have you been friends?' Eunhyuk asked again. Yesung thought hard. "7 to 8 years?" Yesung said, unsure of exactly how long. Eunhyuk nodded. 'How was he like back then?' Eunhyuk asked again, shyly. Yesung smiled and gestured Eunhyuk to sit down.
"He's pretty much the same as now" Yesung told him. "He used to have a girlfriend and he was very overprotective of her, just like he is with you" Yesung continued, noticing Eunhyuk blushing at the last statement. "He loved singing more than anything, resulting in his girlfriend breaking up with him. She thought that being a singer was a tiring job and you don't earn enough pay, and got angry that Donghae enjoyed singing and dancing more than spending time with her, so she broke up. But she misunderstood. Donghae was learning how to sing and dance just for her, to serenade her like he's seen people do plenty of times. Sadly, she broke up with him right when he was about to serenade to her and Donghae was left heartbroken" Yesung said. Eunhyuk could feel a pang against his heart when Yesung mentioned how much Donghae did just to make his girlfriend happy.
"I remember him coming to my house at 3am. Keeping me up and ranting to me, then cried a lot" Yesung chuckled. "I almost kicked him out of my house because i needed my rest, turns out, we kept talking until 9 in the morning" Yesung continued, reminiscing a few years back. 'Did you like him before?' Eunhyuk asked, embarrassed at the question. Yesung laughed. "I only saw him as a best friend. I have someone else in mind…" Yesung said, but made a fake smile at the last sentence. Eunhyuk could see through him. 'Is something wrong?' he questioned worriedly. Yesung didn't want to say it, afraid that it would be his misinterpretion, but went against his own wishes and decided to tell Eunhyuk.
"This morning… when Ryeowook said 'I love you Hyukkie'…" Yesung couldn't continue on, he started blushing. Eunhyuk thought for a while what was wrong, and when he finally figured out, he started giggling. 'He just helped me with something. There's no true feelings. Just… brothers' Eunhyuk answered. At that moment, Yesung felt the most stupid in his entire life. Eunhyuk notice something fall out of Yesung's pocket and reached to pick it up, seeing that Yesung didn't notice. He bent over and grabbed the small box, a bit surprised. 'A ring?' Eunhyuk asked eagerly. Yesung blushed and immediately took it back. "Y-yeah…" Yesung said, blushing. 'Go give him now!' Eunhyuk said half excited, half eager. Yesung chuckled and stood up. 'Good luck' Eunhyuk cheered him on. Yesung smiled at him and walked off to Ryeowook's room.
Ryeowook was laying on bed, bored. He started rolling to the left, then to the right, to the left, then the right. A knock was heard on his door and he could hear Yesung's voice. He immediately bounced up noticing it was Yesung. "Y-yes?" Ryeowook shouted, trying not to sound very happy and excited. "Can i come in?" Yesung asked. Ryeowook looked around his room and if Yesung were to walk into his room, he was die of embarrassment. "N-no. I'll come out" Ryeowook told him and walked towards the door. He opened the door and immediately closed it behind him. Once he saw Yesung, he started blushing. "Umm… is there anything you need?" Ryeowook asked, trying to hide his shyness. Yesung smiled. "Close your eyes" he told Ryeowook. Ryeowook wondered what was happening and closed his eyes. "You're not going to throw me off the balcony, are you?" Ryeowook asked, half serious. Yesung chuckled.
He then slipped something hard and round into Ryeowook's finger. Ryeowook opened his eyes and gasped at the ring. "When you're feeling depressed or unhappy, look at this ring and think of me" Yesung told him gently, bringing Ryeowook's hand up and kissed the ring on his finger, then proceeded to Ryeowook's lips. A simple touch on the lips, but it meant a lot. Ryeowook blushed really hard, and even though he tried to hold his shyness, a face red like an apple wasn't doing him any justice. "I love you" Yesung whispered to him, and Ryeowook shivered. He didn't answer, but his eyes said everything. Yesung laughed and hugged Ryeowook. Eunhyuk saw the happy couple and smiled, but he couldn't help but to wonder where Donghae was. It was already 11pm, but Donghae hadn't returned yet. "Just get some rest, maybe he's working late today" Yesung told him and tucked Eunhyuk in the covers. Eunhyuk nodded a bit worried. Yesung kissed Eunhyuk's forehead and wished him goodnight, switched off the lights and exited the room.
"Yesungie…" Ryeowook said when Yesung came out of Donghae and Eunhyuk's shared room. "I know. It's a first" Yesung told Ryeowook, both of them worried. The next day soon came, and Yesung found Ryeowook in his arms, both of them on the living room sofa. He laid Ryeowook back down gently and got up. He walked to the kitchen and saw that Shindong was already awake. "Did Donghae come back home?" Yesung asked him. Shindong shook his head. "I didn't hear him come in" Shindong told him. Yesung nodded and walked out of the kitchen worriedly. He tried to dial Donghae's number, but just like his yesterday, the phone wasn't reachable. Eunhyuk walked down the stairs and Yesung looked up at him. Eunhyuk's eyes were red and puffy, signs from crying all night yesterday. "Good morning" Yesung told him. Eunhyuk smiled, but it only lasted a second, then he walked and sat on the sofa, oblivious of what's happening around him.
Tears started welling up in his eyes again and he hung his head low, sniffing. Ryeowook awoke to Eunhyuk's sobs and saw Eunhyuk right in front of him crying. Ryeowook immediately hugged Eunhyuk. "Don't cry" he told Eunhyuk, and he himself started crying as well. "D-don't *hiccup* cry" Ryeowook said between sobs. Yesung looked at the two worriedly and wondered where Donghae was. The door clicked open and everyone looked up. The door opened and in walked a familiar face, Donghae. "Donghae!" Yesung immediately shouted, but he noticed that it wasn't the usual Donghae. He was drunk.
Yesung immediately took Donghae up to his room to shower then sleep. When he came back down, he saw Eunhyuk's and Ryeowook's face even more worried. "He just needs some rest" Yesung told the two. Eunhyuk just leaned back, a bit relieved that Donghae was fine, well, not beaten up or anything. He turned to Ryeowook and noticed a ring on his finger. He felt a little jealous that the two were happy while him and Donghae were still unstable. Ryeowook remembered what Yesung told him yesterday. 'When you're feeling depressed or unhappy, look at this ring and think of me' Ryeowook looked at his ring and kissed it. He couldn't help but to think Eunhyuk was even more worried than him.
When Yesung helped Donghae wipe his body and change his clothes, he could hear Donghae's slurred words. "Eunhyuk… why…" Donghae mumbled, half conscious. "What did you do to yourself, Donghae" Yesung wondered, when opening Donghae's buttoned up shirt, he noticed some scratches and bruises on his body. "E-Eunhyuk…" Donghae mumbled again, tears streaming out of his eyes this time. "You must really love Eunhyuk" Yesung told him and smiled. He wiped Donghae's face with a damp cloth. "Rest well, Donghae" he told Donghae and exited the room. He went down and told the two that Donghae just needed some rest.
"I'm leaving" Shindong said, unlocking the door, leaving. Eunhyuk nodded and he remembered what he needed to do. He walked into the kitchen and took out all the ingredients. While mixing the ingredients, he practiced by himself. "Uu…" Eunhyuk said, still not satisfied, he kept repeating. "Uu…uuu…iuu… yuu…" he then paused as he finally got it. "Y-you" he tried again and smiled to himself. "I-I love y-you!" Eunhyuk said. Eunhyuk got really happy and he started baking happily, repeating the three same words over and over again. Ryeowook, who passed the kitchen, heard Eunhyuk and gasped. He immediately went in and hugged Eunhyuk. "You got it! You go it!" Ryeowook exclaimed happily and proud. Eunhyuk smiled at him. "Are you baking a cake? For Donghae?" Ryeowook asked him and Eunhyuk nodded in return. Ryeowook then exited the kitchen after a while of chatting with Eunhyuk.
It was now 5 in the afternoon and Eunhyuk was done with everything. He prepared everything. The card, the cake, and most importantly, his three words. The phone rang while he was proceeding to Donghae's and his shared room. He picked it up with one hand. "Hello? Can i please speak to Donghae? I want to thank him for the amazing time yesterday" the voice on the other end said. It wasn't Eeteuk. No, it was a girl's voice. Eunhyuk immediately dropped everything he was holding at the time. The card dropped down, the cake following in suite, the glass plate crashing to the ground. Yesung and Ryeowook heard the crash and immediately rushed to where it came from. Yesung saw the glass plate in pieces, the cake in the middle squashed, and the card dirtied. Yesung could hear the other person on the line of the phone repeating 'hello'. He went and picked the phone up. "Do not call again" Yesung said on the phone and slammed it down.
He cursed knowing that Eunhyuk ran out of the house. "Yesung?? What happened?!" Ryeowook came running, worried. "E-Eunhyuk…?" Ryeowook asked, seeing no sign of Eunhyuk. "He ran out" Yesung said. Ryeowook gasped. "But he…" Ryeowook got really scared and worried for Eunhyuk. "Not a lot of people understand sign language, and there are a lot of people who think those kind of people are weird!" Ryeowook got even more frightened. "Yesung! I'm going out to look for Eunhyuk!" Ryeowook shouted, running out. "You go. I'll look in a while. Take your phone with you" Yesung told him. Ryeowook nodded and took his phone and ran out. It started pouring heavily. 'Oh Eunhyuk…' Ryeowook thought worriedly in his head.
Yesung walked up to Donghae's and Eunhyuk's shared room. He saw Donghae sitting up. "Oh, you're awake?" Yesung asked. Donghae nodded. "I have a splitting headache and-" before Donghae could continue his sentence, a fist landed on his jaw and gave him a huge blow as he fell to the ground. He placed his palm on his jaw and looked up at Yesung. "What the hell did you do last night?! Eunhyuk was worried about you!" Yesung shouted at Donghae. "Nothing" Donghae mumbled. "Are you hiding something from me?" Yesung asked, shocked. This was the first time, ever. Donghae looked up and fumbled with his shirt. "I went to a bar. I drank a lot because… i thought Eunhyuk didn't love me. Sungmin called me, and said i was delusional. I…" Donghae couldn't continue, he thought he would have to apologize to Eunhyuk quickly. "Where's Eunhyuk?" Donghae asked, looking around, seeing no sign of Eunhyuk. "He ran out. Apparently a girl called and asked for you to thank you for the 'amazing time' yesterday" Yesung told him, slightly disappointed in Donghae. "What? I didn't give anyone my number! I didn't talk with any girl! I only talked with the bartender!" Donghae said. "Well, you tell that to Eunhyuk" Yesung said, and at that point, there was a flash of lightning.
Donghae looked out and he cursed. "I have to go and look for him" Donghae said, immediately getting up and grabbing his handphone. He rushed out and Yesung looked at him leaving. He sighed. He then grabbed his phone and rushed out as well. The rain was falling heavily and it was getting heavier and heavier. Eunhyuk was walking through the rain and he started sniffing. It was cold, and he was only wearing a thin white shirt, making his shirt see-through. While walking, he found himself in an unknown place. He wanted to ask someone where he was so he walked to a bunch of guys he saw. 'Excuse me, where is this place?' Eunhyuk asked using hand signs. The bunch of guys didn't know what he meant but they suddenly had a weird grin on their smug faces. Eunhyuk sensed something wrong and he wanted to leave, but he was stopped. "Where are you going, my dear?" one of the guys said, slipping his shirt under Eunhyuk's shirt and felt his stomach. "Ooohh.. abs too huh?" the guy said and smirked. Eunhyuk shuddered under the touch and he felt really scared. He wanted to scream, but he couldn't.
Donghae cursed, looking around him. It was pouring and there was barely anyone on the streets. "Where are you, Eunhyuk?!" Donghae asked to no one, getting more and more worried. He ran down the street and thought of where Eunhyuk would go to. From a point, he saw far away, there were a bunch of guys. He thought that maybe the guys would have seen him so he approached them, but the nearer he got, the more he felt hatred for them. When it was finally visible, he saw the bunch of guys molesting someone. He knows that he should find Eunhyuk, but he couldn't let someone get molested right in front of him. It's just wrong. "Hey! Stop touching that boy!" Donghae shouted. All of them turned to Donghae and Donghae could see who the boy was. He gasped seeing that the boy was Eunhyuk. He immediately got really angry and could only see blood right in front of him. "Don't you dare touch him" he said, getting angrier. The guys smirked. "Why?" one of them asked. Donghae smirked and he ran forward. "I'm going to make you regret doing this" Donghae shouted and landed a punch on one of the guy's face.
He kicked another guy's stomach, sending him flying and crashed against the fence. He punched another guy's jaw and kicked his shin. The others ran away and immediately left Eunhyuk. Donghae ran towards Eunhyuk and hugged him. Donghae pulled away and caressed Eunhyuk's face. "I'm sorry… I'm so sorry…" Donghae whispered to him. Eunhyuk cried. He had felt so scared just now, but when he saw Donghae right in front of him, he was relieved and he cried even more. "I love you…" Donghae whispered, kissing Eunhyuk's eyes. "You don't have to reply to me. Please don't do this again. I'm so sorry…" Donghae said regretfully. Eunhyuk thought about what he had prepared 2 hours ago. He didn't have a cake, or the card, but words are more important right? "I-I… love y-you…" Eunhyuk said, looking up at Donghae. Donghae got shocked. "Eunhyuk…" Donghae said, proud of Eunhyuk, and felt stupid. "I love you" Donghae whispered again and smiled, kissing Eunhyuk's forehead. "Let's go home" Donghae told him. Eunhyuk nodded. He got up but he immediately fell down. "Eunhyuk? Did you sprain your ankle?" Donghae asked worriedly. Eunhyuk felt his ankle and it hurt. "Hop on my back" Donghae said, crouching down and getting into position. Eunhyuk paused. "Come on" Donghae said happily. Eunhyuk slowly got onto Donghae. Donghae got up and smiled.
His phone rang but he didn't pick it up. He didn't have any free hands to. He felt Eunhyuk's head fall onto his shoulder and Donghae knew that Eunhyuk had fallen asleep. He smiled and walked home in the rain. Once he reached home, he placed Eunhyuk on the sofa. He then called Yesung and Ryeowook, telling the 2 of them that he had found Eunhyuk and they're now at home. He walked back to Eunhyuk and saw that he was awake. "Let's see your ankle. I'll call the doctor tomorrow" Donghae said. Eunhyuk nodded. "Come on. Let's go to our room" Donghae said. Eunhyuk nodded and with Donghae's help, they reached their room. Donghae helped Eunhyuk change his clothes and wipe his body. Donghae then took off his wet shirt. Eunhyuk saw bruises and scratches on his body and got worried. Donghae smiled. "Don't worry" he assured Eunhyuk. Donghae wiped his own body and got into bed with Eunhyuk. He faced Eunhyuk and smiled. "I love you" Donghae said again. "I-I… love..y-you" Eunhyuk repeated. Donghae smiled at him. "Don't you say that to anyone else" Donghae told Eunhyuk and Eunhyuk giggled. Donghae's and Eunhyuk's eye met for a while. Eunhyuk slowly closed his eyes as Donghae neared Eunhyuk. Donghae landed his lips onto Eunhyuk's. Eunhyuk opened his mouth willingly and Donghae stuck his tongue in, exploring Eunhyuk's cavern. After kissing, Eunhyuk blushed, making Donghae chuckle at his cuteness. "Goodnight, Eunhyuk" Donghae said, and both him and Eunhyuk fell asleep.
The next day, Eunhyuk and Donghae made their way down to the kitchen together. Yesung and Ryeowook looked up and smiled. "Donghae? Your jaw…" Ryeowook said, and all eyes turned to Donghae's swollen jaw. Donghae chuckled. "A friend woke me up" Donghae said, looking at Yesung. Yesung tsked and smiled anyways. Shindong placed cake on the table. "Cake for breakfast?" Donghae asked. "It's what Eunhyuk made" Shindong said smiling. "Didn't…?" Ryeowook asked, remembering that the cake was squashed. "That was only a piece of it" Shindong asked, and Ryeowook nodded stupidly. "Oh, and Eunhyuk's card…" Yesung said, taking out a card. "Luckily it's plastic!" Ryeowook said happily. Donghae took it and smiled. "I love you" Donghae said to Eunhyuk and smiled. Eunhyuk blushed, but replied. "I love y-you.." Eunhyuk said, shocking everyone else at the table, except for Donghae and Ryeowook. "So sweeeeeettt~~~~~~~~~~~" Ryeowook squealed happily. "Yesung! You should do that too!" Ryeowook said, turning to Yesung. "I already did" Yesung said nonchalantly, when he was actually too embarrassed to say it again. Ryeowook pouted. "Besides, you already have the ring" Yesung said. Ryeowook pouted even more.
"Did they…?" Donghae asked, not sure of whether what he interpreted was right or not. Eunhyuk nodded. "I wish i had a boyfriend like Donghae" Ryeowook said, pouting, trying to tick Yesung off. "YAH!" Yesung shouted, Ryeowook succeeding in his plan. They all chuckled.
"Come on, Eunhyukkie!" Donghae said, pulling Eunhyuk. "I know you don't believe me, but i didn't know that girl! And to show you, i've brought you to the bar that i went to yesterday!" Donghae said. Donghae dragged Eunhyuk in and waved at the bartender. "Kangin! Tell my boyfriend that i came here yesterday and i didn't talk with any girl!" Donghae told Kangin. "Your boyfriend?" Kangin teased him. Donghae immediately blushed. "J-just tell him!" Donghae said, stuttering. Kangin chuckled. "He was talking to me all night long about his worries with you. Don't worry, i made sure no girl came up to him" Kangin said, assuring Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk smiled and nodded. Donghae then spotted someone sitting at the bar table. "Eeteuk?!" Donghae gasped. Eeteuk turned back and smiled cheekily. "You know my boyfriend?" Kangin asked, surprised. Donghae gasped even more and Eunhyuk chuckled.
"Tell me! When!" Donghae questioned Eeteuk. Eeteuk blushed. "Since a month ago? When i first came to this bar" Eeteuk said, avoiding Donghae's stare. "And you didn't tell me??" Donghae asked, pretending to be hurt. "Well, you had your own problems" Eeteuk told him, and Donghae agreed. "Fine. Don't keep secrets like this anymore from me! It's too juicy not to know!" Donghae said, and Eeteuk rolled his eyes.
