Description : Sungmin has always been a weak person who had a crush on Eunhyuk. After confessing, Eunhyuk accepted him, but Sungmin knows Eunhyuk does not truly love him
“Sungmin-ah! How are you today?” Eunhyuk asked cheerfully, carrying a plastic bag with him, entering the hospital room. “I’m fine Eunhyuk. Don’t you have to go to school?” Sungmin asked Eunhyuk who was placing the plastic bag on the bedside table. “Nah…” Eunhyuk answered nonchalantly. “Hyukkie-ah… I don’t want you to waste time on me and slack off in school” Sungmin said to Eunhyuk with caring eyes. Eunhyuk smiled at him. “Don’t worry, I don’t slack off in school and being with you is not wasting time” Eunhyuk answered.
“Anyways, look what I have!” Eunhyuk said happily. “Cake! Not just any cake! Your favourite strawberry cake!” Eunhyuk said happily, taking out a small cake. Sungmin smiled at Eunhyuk. “Thank you Eunhyuk-ah…” Sungmin said to Eunhyuk. “So… when will you be discharged from the hospital?” Eunhyuk asked, cutting slices for Sungmin and him.
“I’m not sure. It depends…” Sungmin answered. “Oh? I hope you can get out soon. It’s lonely in school alone” Eunhyuk said, placing a cake in front of Sungmin, with a plate of course. “Is it?” Sungmin said, laughing slightly. “I’m going to the bathroom for awhile. Don’t eat my cake!” Eunhyuk said, and stepped out of the room. Sungmin chuckled at his cute boyfriend.
“It’s time for your medicine” a young man said, coming in the room. Sungmin looked up. “He came again? He never fails to bring your favourite” he said to Sungmin. “He’s sweet to my Dr. Cho” Sungmin said to the young doctor. “I told you to call me Kyuhyun, Sungmin-hyung” Kyuhyun said to Sungmin. Sungmin chuckled softly.
Kyuhyun’s smile faded from his face. “He’s back” he said softly. “Oh? How is he? Did he change?” Sungmin said, trying his best to smile. “You know Eunhyuk-hyung’s only with you because he wants to take care of you” Kyuhyun said with a sad smile. “I know… but I don’t care” Sungmin answered, trying his best to sound as cheerful as possible. “Sungmin…” Kyuhyun said but was cut off when he heard Eunhyuk enter.
“Oh! Kyuhyun ah…! What are you doing here” Eunhyuk said, cheerfully. “Oh… nothing” Kyuhyun said, trying his best to smile and act like nothing happened at all. “Do you want some cake?” Eunhyuk asked. “Why not” Kyuhyun answered, earning himself a piece of strawberry cake. “Aren’t you yourself missing school?” Eunhyuk asked Kyuhyun. “I’m a prodigy remember? Teachers don’t care if I go to school or not, I get 100 marks anyways” Kyuhyun answered. “Right…” Eunhyuk said, making a teasing face to Kyuhyun.
The next day, Eunhyuk went to school, after a week of missing classes. His friends came up to his desk to talk to him. “How’s Sungmin?” Yesung asked, cautious of the weakness of Sungmin. “He’s fine. He seems to smile more these days” Eunhyuk said happily. “Oh? Did something good happen to him?” Siwon asked. “I don’t know” Eunhyuk answered. Heechul came and whispered something to Yesung and Siwon. Yesung and Siwon then turned into worried faces. “What’s wrong?” Eunhyuk asked. “Oh! Nothing… nothing…” Yesung answered.
“Ok class! To your seats!” the teacher said, holding a file, entering the class. “Hmm… Eunhyuk! Good to see you back in class!” the teacher said, spotting Eunhyuk at the right next to the wall. “Good to be back, Miss” Eunhyuk answered smiling at the teacher. Eunhyuk’s grade wasn’t all that but he was a person that was respected because of his kindness.
“Ah yes! Class! Today we have a new student!” the teacher said, catching all the student’s attention. “Too bad this is an all boys school otherwise there would be a hot girl!” one of the boys said, earning other talkings from the other boys. “Alright! Quiet down!” the teacher shouted. Yesung, Siwon and Heechul, who were in the same class as Eunhyuk, looked worried.
“Sorry I’m late Miss” Kyuhyun said, entering the class. “Ah! Kyuhyun! Do not worry, I don’t mind at all” the teacher said to Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun couldn’t careless and took a seat next to Eunhyuk. “Came to school?” Eunhyuk asked. “You yourself came” Kyuhyun smiled to Eunhyuk.
“Ok ok quiet there! Now, come in please” the teacher said, looking at the entrance. The boy walked in, following the teacher’s order. Eunhyuk was looking out the window since he didn’t care about new students. “Hello. My name’s Lee Donghae. Nice to meet you” and after that, he bowed. Eunhyuk, hearing the new students’ name, turned his head and saw the boy. ‘No… it can’t be…’ Eunhyuk thought to himself. “Please, choose any empty seats” the teacher said to the boy. The boy nodded and walked to the seat he wanted.
“Please get off, I want to sit here” Donghae said to Kyuhyun. “You don’t have to use formality to me you know… and no… I won’t get off. There are somemore empty seats, why don’t you take it?” Kyuhyun said to Donghae with a smirk while Eunhyuk was just frozen in his spot. “That’s right… why don’t you just choose another seat, Donghae?” the teacher said. Donghae ‘hmph-ed’ and walked off.
“Is this seat taken?” Donghae asked. “Nope, go ahead” Yesung said to him. “And you know who I am… don’t use formalities with me, Kyuhyun, Siwon or Heechul” Yesung said to him. “Of course I remember, how could I not?” Donghae said, smiling at him. “Why’d you return?” Yesung asked. “You know why…” Donghae said softly. “As always, chasing the one you love?” Yesung asked. “You know me too well…” Donghae answered. “We all do” Yesung answered back.
At lunch time, all the students ran out of the classroom, leaving Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun, Heechul, Siwon, Yesung and Donghae in the class. “Eunhyuk! You want to go to the cafeteria or park?” Heechul asked. “Park… cafeteria’s too noisy” Eunhyuk answered. “Choosy” Yesung said with a smirk. “Oh? Then you can go alone to the cafeteria if you want” Eunhyuk said to Yesung. Yesung huffed. “Alright alright. Let’s go. Today we’re having kimbab” Kyuhyun said to them. When all 5 of them were near the entrance door, Yesung looked back. “Coming?” he asked Donghae. “Can i?” he asked. “Why not” Yesung answered back.
“You sure bringing him with us is a good idea?” Siwon whispered to Yesung. “We’ll see” Yesung said with a sly smile. “You sly creature” Siwon said to him. “Yes I am” Yesung said with a smirk on his face. When they were sitting in the park, Kyuhyun was sitting next to Eunhyuk again. Donghae got angry and decided to ask Yesung something. “Are both of them a couple?” Donghae whispered to Yesung. Yesung smiled. “Why don’t you ask them yourself?” Yesung told him. Donghae gulped.
“Umm… are both of you a couple now?” Donghae asked. “Why yes we are!” Heechul answered happily. “You dummy! Not us, them!” Siwon said to Heechul. Heechul pouted. “That’s so not cute!” Siwon said to Heechul, making Heechul pout even more. Before Eunhyuk was about to speak, Kyuhyun spoke before him. “Why, yes we are” Kyuhyun answered. Eunhyuk looked up at Kyuhyun. “O-oh… you two make a nice couple” Donghae said to the two of them. “Oh thank you” Kyuhyun said to Donghae. Eunhyuk pulled Kyuhyun towards him. “What’d you do that for?!” Eunhyuk shouted softly into Kyuhyun’s ear. “Fun” Kyuhyun answered and sat back up.
Donghae kept his eye on Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun the whole day. Kyuhyun, who noticed it, tried to act all close to Eunhyuk. For example, putting his hand on Eunhyuk’s and pinching Eunhyuk’s cheeks. The response he got was an annoyed face from Eunhyuk and jealousy from Donghae. Half an hour before classes ended, Kyuhyun raised up his hand. The teacher asked Kyuhyun what was wrong. “Miss! Can I please be excused?” Kyuhyun asked. “Oh of course. Go ahead” the teacher said. “Oh! And Eunhyuk too please” Kyuhyun asked again. “Oh go ahead” the teacher said.
Kyuhyun packed his stuff and packed Eunhyuk’s stuff as well and dragged Eunhyuk out of the room. “Bye! Heechul! Siwon! Yesung! Today, Sungmin!” Kyuhyun yelled to the three of them and set off. The three knew what that meant. Today, Sungmin was going to have a lot of guests.
Kyuhyun and Eunhyuk reached the hospital. “Kyuhyun, you go to Sungmin first. I’ll come later. I want to go to the washroom” Eunhyuk said to Kyuhyun. “Alright. Hurry, ok?” Kyuhyun said to Eunhyuk. Kyuhyun entered the hospital room. “He’s back” Kyuhyun said to Sungmin. “Oh” Sungmin said, looking down. “Does he…” Sungmin asked but was cut off. “100% sure” Kyuhyun answered. “Sungmin-ah…” Eunhyuk entered the room. “Hi Hyukkie” Sungmin said. Eunhyuk gave Sungmin a peck on Sungmin’s lips.
Soon, the other 3 came, as well as Donghae. “Sungmin! How are you?!” Heechul said, causing a racket in the room. “Brought you 5 pieces of brownies” Siwon said, and gave a packet to Sungmin. “Thanks” Sungmin said, placing the bag on the bedside table. “Sungmin…” Donghae said, walking up to Sungmin. Sungmin looked up at Donghae. “You’ve grown…” Sungmin said to Donghae. Donghae noticed that Eunhyuk’s hand was intertwined with Sungmin’s.
“Please excuse me” Eunhyuk said, and walked out before anyone could say anything. Donghae ran after him. “We’re sorry, Sungmin” Yesung said to Sungmin. “It’s ok…” Sungmin said to all of them with a sad smile.
“Eunhyuk!!! Eunhyuk!!! Please… wait!!!” Donghae shouted, chasing Eunhyuk. “No!! This is wrong!! Why are you here?! Why’d you come back?!” Eunhyuk shouted back, trying to run as fast as he could but it was no use, Donghae was a trained runner and he soon caught up to Eunhyuk. “Stop! Don’t touch me!!” Eunhyuk said, hitting Donghae’s arms. Donghae immediately crashed his lips onto Eunhyuk’s.
“Don’t…” Eunhyuk said, his tears already streaming out. “It hurts…” Eunhyuk said again. Donghae pulled away and brought Eunhyuk into a tight embrace. “I don’t want to hurt you again, and I won’t. I feel so hurt when I see you together with other guys. Please… trust me again…” Donghae said, pulling back from the embrace and wiping Eunhyuk’s tears off. Eunhyuk shook his head reluctantly. “Sungmin…” Eunhyuk said softly. “Don’t worry, he will recover” Donghae said, kissing Eunhyuk’s forehead.
“We shouldn’t…” Eunhyuk said, trying to fight back with Donghae’s words. “No. We should, and we will. Come, let’s wash your face” Donghae said, holding onto Eunhyuk’s hand, pulling him to the washroom. Donghae wiped Eunhyuk’s face gently, then gave a peck on Eunhyuk’s lips. “Let’s go back” Donghae said to Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk looked down. His eyes and nose were still stained red.
Both of them, hand in hand, entered Sungmin’s room. All of them looked up to see a half-crying face of Eunhyuk’s and a smiling face of Donghae’s. Eunhyuk looked up and saw Sungmin in the hospital bed, looking as if he was going to cry soon. Eunhyuk immediately ran towards Sungmin and hugged him. “I’m sorry… I’m so sorry… I’m so sorry…” Eunhyuk kept repeating, starting to cry again. Sungmin himself started crying as well. Everyone witnessed the heart-breaking moment unfold before them.
Sungmin then pulled himself out from the embrace. “I’m letting you go. I’m sorry for holding you down” Sungmin said to Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk kept shaking his head. After half an hour, everyone had to go back home. Heechul, Siwon and Yesung made their exit first. Eunhyuk looked at Sungmin. “I will always love you as a brother, my family” Eunhyuk said and pulled Sungmin into an embrace. Sungmin smiled and waved at the two who were leaving. “Aren’t you going to go?” Sungmin asked Kyuhyun. “I have something to say first” Kyuhyun said to Sungmin.
Sungmin looked up at Kyuhyun. “The day I met you, was the most unforgettable day in my life. I saw your smiling pale face and when I saw ill, my heart hurt so much. I swore to myself that I would take care of you for my whole life” Kyuhyun said to Sungmin. “Kyuhyun…” Sungmin said but was cut off. “Sungmin… I love you…” Kyuhyun whispered the last few words, only audible to Sungmin. Sungmin was shocked. “I…”
The next day, Donghae and Eunhyuk were laughing and playing around with each other happily. Siwon, Heechul and Yesung joined in and laughed together. The teacher came in and hushed the class. “Ok class. Today-” she started but was cut off when she heard someone enter the class. “Sorry I’m late again Miss, and I brought someone who was missing for 4 months” Kyuhyun said and smiled. Everyone looked up and saw 2 people, hands intertwined with each other, with happily smiles on their faces.
Yesung, Siwon, Heechul, Eunhyuk and Donghae’s eyes widened. “SUNGMIN!!” 5 of them shouted. Eunhyuk looked down and saw their hands intertwined. “Sungmin you…” Eunhyuk said. Sungmin smiled at him. “If you can have one, why can’t i?” Sungmin joked with him. 7 of them laughed happily. During lunch, all 7 of them sat in the park together.
“So…” Heechul started. “What?” Sungmin asked. “Details details!” Eunhyuk said excitedly. “The detail’s not important. What’s important is is that we are together” Sungmin stated. “Oh! Excuse me…” all 7 of them turned to see a young boy. Judging by his uniform, he was a year lower than us. “Yes?” Yesung asked. “I’m new here. Could you please direct me to the headmaster’s office?” he asked. “I”ll bring you there” Yesung said with a sly smile.
“What’s your name?” Donghae asked him before both of them left to the headmaster’s office. “Oh! Pardon me. Ryeowook. Kim Ryeowook” the young boy stated. “Nice to meet you. I have a feeling we’d be seeing each other a lot from now on” Eunhyuk said to him. “Oh?” Ryeowook answered, puzzled.
“Hey hey… let’s go to the headmaster’s office now” Yesung said to him. “Oh! Yes! Thank you” Ryeowook said politely. When walking off, Yesung turned back and winked at his 6 friends. All 6 laughed at him. “This is going to be fun. I can’t wait to see his reaction” Eunhyuk said to them. “What reaction?” Donghae asked, puzzled. “Oh Donghae Donghae Donghae…” Sungmin said to Donghae. “What?... What?!” Donghae shouted, earning giggles from his friends.

“Please excuse me” Eunhyuk said, and walked out before anyone could say anything. Donghae ran after him. “We’re sorry, Sungmin” Yesung said to Sungmin. “It’s ok…” Sungmin said to all of them with a sad smile.
“Eunhyuk!!! Eunhyuk!!! Please… wait!!!” Donghae shouted, chasing Eunhyuk. “No!! This is wrong!! Why are you here?! Why’d you come back?!” Eunhyuk shouted back, trying to run as fast as he could but it was no use, Donghae was a trained runner and he soon caught up to Eunhyuk. “Stop! Don’t touch me!!” Eunhyuk said, hitting Donghae’s arms. Donghae immediately crashed his lips onto Eunhyuk’s.
“Don’t…” Eunhyuk said, his tears already streaming out. “It hurts…” Eunhyuk said again. Donghae pulled away and brought Eunhyuk into a tight embrace. “I don’t want to hurt you again, and I won’t. I feel so hurt when I see you together with other guys. Please… trust me again…” Donghae said, pulling back from the embrace and wiping Eunhyuk’s tears off. Eunhyuk shook his head reluctantly. “Sungmin…” Eunhyuk said softly. “Don’t worry, he will recover” Donghae said, kissing Eunhyuk’s forehead.
“We shouldn’t…” Eunhyuk said, trying to fight back with Donghae’s words. “No. We should, and we will. Come, let’s wash your face” Donghae said, holding onto Eunhyuk’s hand, pulling him to the washroom. Donghae wiped Eunhyuk’s face gently, then gave a peck on Eunhyuk’s lips. “Let’s go back” Donghae said to Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk looked down. His eyes and nose were still stained red.
Both of them, hand in hand, entered Sungmin’s room. All of them looked up to see a half-crying face of Eunhyuk’s and a smiling face of Donghae’s. Eunhyuk looked up and saw Sungmin in the hospital bed, looking as if he was going to cry soon. Eunhyuk immediately ran towards Sungmin and hugged him. “I’m sorry… I’m so sorry… I’m so sorry…” Eunhyuk kept repeating, starting to cry again. Sungmin himself started crying as well. Everyone witnessed the heart-breaking moment unfold before them.
Sungmin then pulled himself out from the embrace. “I’m letting you go. I’m sorry for holding you down” Sungmin said to Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk kept shaking his head. After half an hour, everyone had to go back home. Heechul, Siwon and Yesung made their exit first. Eunhyuk looked at Sungmin. “I will always love you as a brother, my family” Eunhyuk said and pulled Sungmin into an embrace. Sungmin smiled and waved at the two who were leaving. “Aren’t you going to go?” Sungmin asked Kyuhyun. “I have something to say first” Kyuhyun said to Sungmin.
Sungmin looked up at Kyuhyun. “The day I met you, was the most unforgettable day in my life. I saw your smiling pale face and when I saw ill, my heart hurt so much. I swore to myself that I would take care of you for my whole life” Kyuhyun said to Sungmin. “Kyuhyun…” Sungmin said but was cut off. “Sungmin… I love you…” Kyuhyun whispered the last few words, only audible to Sungmin. Sungmin was shocked. “I…”
The next day, Donghae and Eunhyuk were laughing and playing around with each other happily. Siwon, Heechul and Yesung joined in and laughed together. The teacher came in and hushed the class. “Ok class. Today-” she started but was cut off when she heard someone enter the class. “Sorry I’m late again Miss, and I brought someone who was missing for 4 months” Kyuhyun said and smiled. Everyone looked up and saw 2 people, hands intertwined with each other, with happily smiles on their faces.
Yesung, Siwon, Heechul, Eunhyuk and Donghae’s eyes widened. “SUNGMIN!!” 5 of them shouted. Eunhyuk looked down and saw their hands intertwined. “Sungmin you…” Eunhyuk said. Sungmin smiled at him. “If you can have one, why can’t i?” Sungmin joked with him. 7 of them laughed happily. During lunch, all 7 of them sat in the park together.
“So…” Heechul started. “What?” Sungmin asked. “Details details!” Eunhyuk said excitedly. “The detail’s not important. What’s important is is that we are together” Sungmin stated. “Oh! Excuse me…” all 7 of them turned to see a young boy. Judging by his uniform, he was a year lower than us. “Yes?” Yesung asked. “I’m new here. Could you please direct me to the headmaster’s office?” he asked. “I”ll bring you there” Yesung said with a sly smile.
“What’s your name?” Donghae asked him before both of them left to the headmaster’s office. “Oh! Pardon me. Ryeowook. Kim Ryeowook” the young boy stated. “Nice to meet you. I have a feeling we’d be seeing each other a lot from now on” Eunhyuk said to him. “Oh?” Ryeowook answered, puzzled.
“Hey hey… let’s go to the headmaster’s office now” Yesung said to him. “Oh! Yes! Thank you” Ryeowook said politely. When walking off, Yesung turned back and winked at his 6 friends. All 6 laughed at him. “This is going to be fun. I can’t wait to see his reaction” Eunhyuk said to them. “What reaction?” Donghae asked, puzzled. “Oh Donghae Donghae Donghae…” Sungmin said to Donghae. “What?... What?!” Donghae shouted, earning giggles from his friends.
