Prologue
Chapter One
Chapter Two

I didn't like the idea. At all.
"Ji, no. You can't just go and see him."
"Why not, hm? It's not like he's a member of the mafia or anything."
"Well, you never know. He might just as well be." I mumbled.
"Oh come on, Bae." he tried to use his puppy look on me, but I decided that it was not going to work this time. This was a serious matter, after all.

We spent the rest of the evening arguing about that topic and in the end he convinced me to let him go. I'm still not sure how he did it, but I made myself clear that I did not approve of him going but I did tolerate it.

When I woke up at 8 am the next morning, he was already gone. There was a note on his pillow, though.

Bae,
I'm off to meet Jaejoong. Keep your fingers crossed that I can meet Yoochun...

'Yeah right, as if.' I mentally scoffed and read on

I promise I'll be careful and stuff, so stop worrying already. Looking forward to spending this day with you, see you later & love you.

Ji ♥

"Damn this kid..." I sighed, got up and went the kitchen to get my first cup of coffeine of this day.

While I prepared my coffee, I pondered what I could do while Jiyong was away. Deciding that I would kill time with some movies, I rummaged through the stack of DVDs in the living room and finally chose to re-watch Antique. It was one of my favourite movies and it never failed to brighten my day. Plus, Kim Jae Wook was a real hottie. Oh, never let Jiyong know I said that. He'd instantly destroy the DVD.

I put the disc into the player, fetched my coffee from the kitchen and then made
myself comfortable on the small couch. 20 minutes into the movie, I still couldn't quite concentrate on what was going on. Not that I knew the story by heart anyway. But my thoughts just wandered back to Jiyong, wondering if he was doing alright.

After another 10 minutes I decided to call him. Searching the whole apartment for my cellphone, I finally found it under the bed, and sat down on it while searching through my contacts for his number.

The beeping sound, indicating that his phone was ringing, got nerve-wracking after some time. Why didn't he pick up? I didn't like that. Hanging up, I decided to call Jaejoong instead.

"Youngbae, what's up?" I was greeted.
"Hey Jaejoong. Uhm...do you know anything about Jiyong?"
"Well, yeah. He should be at Yoochun's office by now, why?"
"Oh, just asking. He doesn't pick up his phone, so..."
"He's probably just too busy or something."
"Hmm..." I hummed. "Sooo...your friend found the office after all?"
"Yep. He instantly knew who I was talking about. He watches so much gay porn...sometimes I worry about his brain, seriously."
"Did he say anything else? Does he know Yoochun?"
"No, not personally. But its said, that he's pretty uncompromising when it comes to business."
"Oh great. That helped. Thanks."

I heard a slap in the background and a faint "Ouch! What was that for?" from Jaejoong, before I had Seunghyun on the line.
"Hey Bae, it's me."
"Did you just hit your boyfriend?"
"Just on the head. He deserved that. I'm sorry, he wasn't supposed to tell you that."
"S'okay..."
"You stop worrying, alright? Jiyong will ask him, Yoochun will turn him down, and you two will have to go on without each other for another two and a half weeks. Big deal."
"I really hope you're right."
"Of course I am, when wasn't I?"
"Right. Bye, Hyun. And thanks."
I hung up, not the least bit reassured.

Pacing back and forth in the bed room, I eventually decided that I could as well use the time. It wasn't like I could do anything about it right now. So I got dressed and went out grocery shopping. I wanted to cook for Jiyong that night, when we returned from the amusement park.
He told me once that he loved my cooking, but unfortunately I wasn't able to cook for him that often, as we had to watch every penny. We mostly lived off rice. I wanted this day to be special, with us finally spending some time together again and going out, having fun. This day just needed to be completed with a self-cooked dinner.

I took my time shopping and picking out the perfect ingredients. I figured, the longer shopping took me, the less time I had to kill at home in our empty apartment, driving myself nuts.

After two hours I was standing in front of our apartment building again, being quite proud of myself.
Upon entering the apartment, I was suprised to find Jiyong's shoes in the hallway. It was such a relief to know he was in a safe place again.

"Ji?" I called when I got rid of my own shoes and made my way to the kitchen to unpack the grocery bags. He came out of our bedroom and smiled at me.
"Hi babe." he said before literally throwing himself at me, snuggling into my chest and tightening his arms around my waist to the point it almost hurt.
"You alright?" I asked skeptically.
"Sure I am, just happy to see you." he mumbled into my chest.

"How did the meeting go? Did he agree to cancel the contract?"
"..."
"He didn't, right?"
"Just hug me, will you?" Despite my inner voice screaming at me, that something about this behaviour was very wrong, I put my arms around his waist and hugged him back, inhaling his scent. Did he use a new perfume?

After a while he pulled back a bit to look me in the eyes.
"Wanna go to the amusement park now?" he asked, almost excited.
His mood changes really needed some time to get used to. "Sure, why not. But you still didn't tell me, what Yoochun said."
"I'll just get another T-Shirt, then we can leave." and with that, he disappeared in our bedroom again.

I continued unpacking the groceries, expecting him to be back any second, he just wanted to change shirts after all. When I finished and he still hadn't returned, I went to the bedroom as well. I found him crouching in front of his dresser, rummaging through it in search of a new shirt, I guessed.

I approached him carefully and put a hand on his shoulder. He jerked a bit and looked up at me with big eyes.
"You scared me." he breathed out.
"I'm sorry, I just wanted to...hey, have you been crying?"
Only now I noticed that his eyes were slightly redder than usual.

"What? Don't be silly, Bae. Come on, let's go now, or else it'll be too late to check out every ride in the park."
With that he got up and before I could speak, I could hear him grabbing the key and opening the front door.

'Now what about the new shirt?' I wondered briefly, before I followed him. Grabbing my camera on my way out and closing the door behind me, I hurried down the steps to catch up to him.

Comments, criticism and suggestions are welcome. =)
& Antique indeed is an awesome movie and Kim Jae Wook is, like, really hot, so...check it out. Do it. 8D
