christmas eve
she's broken.
a/n: i'm heartbroken over a boy. this is the result. happy holidays.
It's snowing, her pink wedges stepping on top of the white fluff, her fingers becoming numb and cold, her nose becoming as red as her eyes. She doesn't really care if it's snowing anymore, she doesn't really care that she has to realize that he's not hers anymore. She doesn't want to anyways.
Her fingers are itching to pick at the scab on her arm or making some red mess on her legs. It's snowing, it's Christmas Eve and she loses her heart.
It isn't supposed to end this way, he's supposed to be hers, no one would get in the way, she's not supposed to be broken, she's not supposed to care that he moves on from her while she still wants him.
"Hey."
"I heard."
And then the tears start to flow over the phone, her almost perfect figure is crumpling to the floor. They're supposed to be perfect this Christmas Eve. They're supposed to be together and all she wants to do is fall on the floor. Her cries are now hysterical, she's gasping for air in between the sobs, she's not usually like this. She's usually calm and together, but to even know that he's with her.
The sobs come at an even louder level. The people across her room can probably hear her, but she doesn't mind. She doesn't care. Two weeks of being clean needs to be wiped out, the put togetherness needs to fall apart.
"Yoona, you'll be okay."
Okay, she'll be okay, she doesn't want to be okay anymore. After years of being together, of being okay, of pretending and happy, she can't stand it anymore. The man on the other line is reasonable and responsible, but she wants to fling the phone away and sob some more.
"Donghae doesn't know what he's missing out."
There's a pause, her sobs start to slow down, but she still wants to sob. He has a point, but she's irrational and doesn't want to hear this. She doesn't want to face the facts that the man she loved, moved on.
"Yoona - "
"Changmin, just shut up," she cries. Hanging up the phone, she throws the phone against the wall, wraps her arms around her legs and sobs into her thighs.
Jessica is perfect, she has beautiful caramel locks, a small face, pretty eyes and a petite figure. She's envious of her. She's envious of every inch of her. And the door unlocks, not caring again, she can hear the light foot steps of the giant.
"Why the hell would you hang up on me?" he asks. He has good intentions and everything, but she's irrational and hysterical. The girl doesn't look up from her darkness, she doesn't say a word and sits there, still trying to breathe. "Look up," he says.
She doesn't, she doesn't do anything he wants her to do. She feels her heart pumping at a too fast rate and she starts to cry again. She feels so alone on this Christmas Eve, she's so lonely, her heart breaking, everything breaking. Why? He tries to comfort her, but her thoughts are louder than he could ever be.
"Look up," he states again.
"Go away," she hisses like a child. He sits next to her and sits there, running fingers through her auburn locks, waiting for her to calm down. There's nothing she wants to do now, but cry. Everything around her is changing and it's scary.
"I can't do this anymore, Changmin," she mumbles.
"I know, I know."
"When do I get to die?"
"Not now."
They sit there for awhile, his fingers running through her hair again and it's all scary that she might lose him too. She feels completely alone even though he's right there, comforting her. Maybe, this is what heart break feels like on Christmas Eve.
