living the vida landlord
We *finally* finished the basment apartment last night. Well, not really: there are still several cosmetic/detail things to get done; but the tenant is moving in today. He gave us his first month's rent $$ and hopefully everything will move smoothly from here.
I am so exhausted. After days of working on the thing, we were down there till almost 1 last night finishing things up and cleaning. But then we finally got to go upstairs and have some pie to celebrate (Carlos made yummy pumpkin pie this weekend...). I have to go finish a couple of things tonight, and we'll be doing stuff this weekend...but technically its done! Yay!
