(no subject)
...we had to put our cat down today. ;_;
Actually, we thought she'd disappeared when she didn't come back after being let out yesterday morning. But this afternoon Mommy asked me to move the van out of the garage... and thank God I checked my mirrors... Kitty was dragging herself out of the way of the wheels when I looked back. God, that would have been terrible and devastating... anyway...
So we brought her inside and she was mewing, and she drank a lot of water... when I set her down she couldn't even stand on her own... she was that weak... it had been over 24 hours by that point, and she'd been pretty weak already. Kidney and bowel problems, a limp... and just old... poor thing...
I've had a cat longer than I've had a little brother. Kitty is over 13 years old [yes, human years]. I couldn't handle going in the room as they administered the euthanasia, but Mommy and little sister did... It's going to be horribly hard... I love her so much... She was easily as much a member of the family as any human. If any of you knew my Kitty, you know she was the sweetest thing, never clawed or bit or anything like that... liked warm laps... kept me company on late nights... liked to bother us when we had cheese or potato chips >_>; ...just... ;_;
...I'll be okay eventually -- for now I'm just going to mourn...
BTW, I will be having a (unrelated) computer hiatus from Friday 'til Monday-ish. Until then~
