Eee, I'm so glad someone posted a picture of Mairi's dress - I've been v. curious. Glamazons, all of you, you wretches.

So, please tell me that they played "Mairi's Wedding".

It's a Van Morrison song, one he sings with the Chieftans. It's actually spelled "Marie's Wedding" but pronounced Mairi. Here's a link to someone else doing it - can't find the one I know:

Oh, cute song! I don't think they did play it but I hope she gets to hear it at some point. There was a bunch of Irish tunes at the reception though.

So I had to open up itunes and listen to the version I know. And you know what's goofy? The two songs after it, when listed alphabetically by singer (but complete randomness of style), are the Chariots of Fire theme by Vangelis, and Vanilla Ice's opus, Ice Ice Baby.

From the 13 Going on 30 soundtrack, of course. Just so we can go full circle...

That IS weird. I am glad you only have Ice Ice Baby b/c of 13 Going on 30.

Although that was one of my favorite scenes in the movie...maybe I need to watch that again...
