Rant of the day!
Ok...so if anyone watched the news lately, there's this big immigrant debate. Let me say, for the *MOST* part, I don't care either way. I've worked in factories, I have Mexican friends, I never talk shit about them, and I've adapted and speak some Spanish as well. HERE is my issue: basically, there is an eight year 'program', where they must pay $5,000 in fines, and some other stuff, and they will become citizens. By being here illegally, they will be made legal. They will have the same rights that US Citizens have. They will be able to get married. And I still cannot. How in the hell does that make any kind of sense? People who have consistently broken OUR laws are now going to be afforded rights that I don't even have.
