I didn't go to bed last night. Instead I went for a diner run with Georgette and wrote an essay for a leadership honor society. I had to be up at 5:30 so I could be at my sister's house to babysit my nephew at 8, and I don't go to sleep until 3 anyway, so sleep was pointless. But next time I pull an all-nighter, remind me of how I got depressed this time. I was just down the whole day and couldn't think of a tangible reason why. But it was all worth it, because I got to see

This is Ben. He likes to walk around saying "Hello," "Hi," and "Meow." He also enjoys running around on other people's lawns, dancing, and blowing bubbles. But he does get quite shy around the ladies.

I had to interview a Holocaust survivor for my final project in Slash's class on Saturday, and it was really emotional. I've learned about it in school and I've gone to the Holocaust museum in DC, but it doesn't compare to learning about someone's personal experience. His wife, who is also a survivor, was sitting there crying. And then they both started crying when he talked about being liberated from the concentration camp. And that was it for me. But my visit there didn't end with just the interview. They also fed me and had me watch their daughter's wedding video. And then I left their home and felt kinda shitty for the rest of the day. And now I get to transcribe it. YAY.

I've been inducted into Lamdba Pi Eta, the National Communications Honor Society. Slash said a bunch of nice things about me to my parents, such as how I'm energized and conscientious and I have a bunch of contacts in the area so I'll make it. Finally I'm getting some goddamn recognition.

Things left to do at Ramapo College for the rest of my life:
- Student leaders dinner Wednesday night
- Senior Gift Drive dessert reception @ the Havemeyer House next Thursday
- Article for Clark
- Article for Slash, and I have to finish that by Wednesday because she wants me to read it in front of people.
- Paper for Independent Cinema. She hasn't even e-mailed me back yet about my topic because I was confused about it and needed some clarification. Luckily it's just the rough draft due this Thursday, but still.

I really need to find some time for myself.

Alright, enough procrastinating. I have work to do.
