There's never been a summer when I've learned so much.
I finally learned the true meaning of service to another human being. And those human beings in turn, taught me ways to live life with more meaning and sincerity. However, through society and my own tragic flaws I fail to actually live out these truths. Not because I've forgotten them, but because it's just easier to ignore them. God, that is so wrong. No one ever said the right way was supposed to be easy, but I'm sure making it a hell of a lot harder.
To describe Europe in words would never give the place or the trip I took any real justice. I'm just glad I was given the opportunity while my parents are still paying for things like that.
Student Council Camp was educational and gave me hope, ideas, and encouragement that I can make a difference at my school. Wow, I can't wait until that one gets crushed, kicked, spit/jumped/stomped on, hit with a sledge hammer, shot at, and then punched in the face just for good measure.
As a couple we are well-balanced. Ryan possesses all the qualities I wish I had and he encourages me to improve upon my personality flaws.
Another spiritual truth that we'd all have liked to have faced in a different and less harsh way: Life is too short. We all relate to that in way or another this summer, so no need for me to keep harping on it.
