Wait, who?

I am:Hal Clement (Harry C. Stubbs)
A quiet and underrated master of "hard science" fiction who, among other things, foresaw integrated circuits back in the 1940s.

Which science fiction writer are you?

1) I don't know who this guy is.
b) That's probably because I find hard sf to be insufferably boring.
3) But then again, I find myself to be insufferably boring.
???
z) Touche.

I probably disagree with the foundation (hardyhar) of this entire quiz, because I never thought it was relevant how well sf "predicted" the "future." Hell, one of my favorite stories involves a machine that can send people inside dreams, and why that would be a Bad Idea (and somehow I never drew the connection that that was the plot setup for Paprika also - they went in REALLY different directions).

Anyway. I've probably read some of his stories before, but hard sf being not generally my deal, the synopses are not ringing any bells.

That's all I've got. I'm just returning to life after spending most of the last week sick and asleep. The con is in two and a half weeks, in its shiny new digs at the convention center. The Alley PTBs almost seem to have their shit together, just in time. I'm looking forward to it anyway because it's our last table for a while, and because there's a Freezepop concert scheduled, and that sounds like fun to me. That's about it.
