Mikageness!

So, I was gonna reply at the other thread now that my birthday breakdown is over, but replies were frozen, so I'm coming over here to say: Oh, please play with cabin 1, oh please oh please! Mello is a PERFECT black rose candidate! He's got insecurities out the WAZOO! He's got an inferiority complex AND narcissism, just like most of the black rose candidates! We've got a player for his 'most important/hated person' who he'd steal the soul sword from, and I know his player personally, so I can guarantee a go-ahead on that! I also know Anthy's player quite quite well and bet she'd be up for a 'kill Anthy' duel! I don't really know Lu Xun's player much, but I've traded a few notes with him/her since I picked up Dynasty warriors, and I bet I could get him/her to agree to same!

If'n you want to, anyway, I think we've got a perfect set up! (I'd have gone in ICly to set it up so far, but Mello's new enough he never saw Mikage's black rose post. But Mello and Near have been spamming threads with their snark, so it's possible Mikage could Icly have seen it and noted Mello as appropriate? If you want to. If not, that's cool too, I just can't resist offering. XD

Haha, most of what I've heard of Mello points RIGHT at it. Actually, one of the first mentions I ever heard of Mello pertained to that. I never did read Death Note. So many people like it now that I'd feel like a big sheep.

Anthy's character is off limits - her player has ignored everything I've/he's commented on so far (OOC and IC), and I've taken the hint. No biggie. Would've been fun, but I won't push it if the player says no. Soooo while it was Mikage's raison d'etre, no Anthy-killing plots. Unless of course he plots to himself and fails because nobody else is paying attention, which is kind of the running gag being set up with his string of less than impressive evil schemes. :P I may do that later after his next post, which I already have a picture made up for and refuse to waste because my photoshopping is really that weak.

I've been kinda skimming the Death Note stuff, because I figure the DN people just want to play amongst themselves, and haven't posted anything IC. But I can start picking up on it, no problem. It does sound like a great opportunity.

Oh - duh. Clarifying: Mello as BRD would be awesome, I just wouldn't extend it into Mikage using Mello to try to kill Anthy. But I'd gladly catalyze a BRD plot without that aspect.

(He'd still go through with it. With so many people snapping and going into angsty rages on their own, he's being outclassed and knows it. And none of the other attempts to Black Roseify the others have worked.)

Er, no she hasn't. Take it from me, since she's my girlfriend. She's been busy with graduation, finishing up some university courses, and so on. She's barely kept up with commenting on Lu Xun's stuff, and she's only done that because she's playing Lu Xun's Rose Bride. When she apped, she mentioned looking forward to playing against you. She's been writing a Mamiya app to send out when apps next open. Er. In other words, just because she hasn't played with you yet, she hasn't been 'ignoring' you. (Things should be better with her soon, as she's graduated high school now) I mentioned the

Ah! No, the Death Note characters DON'T just want to play among each other. It's just that they're so competetive with each other that they tend to pounce on everything they say, and not many other people have butted in to talk to us yet. And hee, even if you hadn't posted anything IC, it's alway believable to have Mikage had seen it? :D :D

Well, okay then. That clarifies things.

So sure, if you want to bring it up with Lu-mun. Most of it would be between Mello, Near, and Lu (if Mello's gonna duel him), so getting everybody up to speed is good. Mikage would just help Mello crack, which I'm thinking isn't very hard (mwaha), and plant the idea in his head about the whole scheme.

All right! I should probably set it up a little first, at least commenting on their Meaningful "..."ing or considering him as a candidate or something. So it doesn't spring out of nowhere. (Well, it's still crack, but crack with a comprehensible beginning and middle and end is good.)

Um, actually, as Anthy's player I can say I have been greatly amused and more than once tempted to comment. However, the only time we see Anthy interact with Mikage as, well, Anthy, is during the final duel with him. :\ Every other time she is Mamiya, so I always made the connection that if Anthy ever accidentally stumbled upon Mikage around the school, chances are, she would become Mamiya. Since I have not gotten accepted as Mamiya yet (as I am still writng the app), Mikage has been a blind spot for Anthy.

Equally, IIRC... um... Mikage hasn't commented on anything Anthy has done, either, othat than a general "The rose bride is at this camp!"

Hmm, this is true. Though he knows of her and she'd probably recognize one of the long-time pawns, that's a good point. There's not much excuse to comment. (though I did warn people away from the curry, idjitly, not remembering that Saionji acting like a monkey etc. isn't easily traced back to the curry even if that story would make its way around the rumor mills. Ah well, missteps happen.)

Anyway. I hadn't commented because after those first few, I figured either you thought I was an idiot OOC and didn't want to be bothered (like most people) or had your hands full with the Lu storyline. Or both. So anyway, I'm game for cracking Mello, so just let me know when to jump in with the evil whispering. :)
