Oh, you guys. Oh, you guys, I am so terrified.
So rejacketing a book is a very scary thing, because a) It means the whole series look has been totally changed! So the two sequels are going to look this way and b) It seems people did not like the old cover - oh please please please let them like this one!
I feel exceedingly lucky to have a lovely publisher, Simon & Schuster, who did not just say 'Oh well, Sarah RB, clearly a bust, next please' but who hired The Illustrious James Porto to make new covers for me.
And I feel even more lucky that when I went peeping to them with suggestions, and to my friends for thoughts, my publishers and friends both listened. (Which publishers in no way have to do. If they wanted a purple spacemonkey on my cover, they could have one no matter what I said! They are just very kind.) Especial thanks go to my friend Saundra Mitchell, whose artistic input was invaluable.
And this new cover is very different and dynamic and dramatic! And I think it has the feel of the book down, and - well, I will leave you to JUDGE FOR YOURSELVES.
